Does the platform allow us to create a chat app for my school teachers to communicate with parents? Basically, a chat app with ability to create groups. If yes, are you based on Firebase? Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, we do offer an inbox feature which will allow you or your teachers to send private messages to students' parents. You can send private messages with specific content to users, individually. They receive your direct messages in their app inbox, and they can answer to it.
You can add videos, images, and attachments to your messages.
Useful in many cases: for restaurants to confirm reservation, for doctors to send a medical file to a patient, etc. The users can answer to the messages, just like with emails.
The admin chooses to which user(s) they wants to send a message. If you publish your App on the App Stores, then the user will also be able to receive a push notification on their device stating there is a new message in their Inbox within the app. If this method of chat does not meet your needs, we can custom create another live chat option within your App if needed.
