I was so hopeful and tried so hard to use this product--on the app, on the desktop.
Because I am writer and speaker, I was hoping to write my scripts in the app and be able to batch record. Imagine my shock when my scripts I had written would not load because the app kept freezing and crashing.
The app froze often, crashed, took hours and one time over a day to finish processing a short form video. I can't imagine it I had tried to use for a Zoom webinar. Which was another use case I was looking forward to, but with all the issues, I don't want this app to embarrass me in front of my clients and prospects.
The workflow is too slow to be of use. I can stop and start recording to read my script faster than using this teleprompter and then trying to edit and upload.
The caption phrasing was strange and difficult to impossilbe to change. I know better than the words on screen how to edit my videos best. I don't them to recreate the video editing process, which has been around for decades.
The placement of captions and logos is not visible on IG Reels or Tiktok or Pinterest or YouTube Shorts.
Customer support was incredibly SLOW and UNHELPFUL, which also perfectly describes the mobile and desktop app as well.
I downloaded a FREE video software yesterday from a competitor that added captions to my videos with ease. Could even edit the captions. And saving and exporting the finished video was blazing fast. I didn't need to watch a video or call help support or need to schedule a call with a support advisor for several weeks in the future, which didn't help me at the time i needed it, which was my BigVu experience.
BigVu has so much work to make this app worthwhile.
And now I am stuck like Chuck and not able to get a refund.
If I could give NEGATIVE tacos, I would.
