1. We plan to expand this feature a lot in November to make it more like a custom form builder to capture custom fields outside of the preset options you see like add-ons, taxes, quantity, free trial period, subscription renewal date (as opposed to the anniversary date), coupon codes, custom header, billing address, shipping address, terms of service, and thank you page redirection.

2. Yes, you can offer a free trial. When you go to Settings -> Signup Pages -> New Signup Page you can click “Include a free trial period” and specify the duration in days. You can also do this from the API.
