Q: Does ByDesign have NLP in android app ?

I have recently downloaded the android app and played around a bit. I was able to create habits, tasks etc without much fuss just like how I use TickTick, but whenever i tried to use Natural Language in task creation, it didnt work. For ex, creating a task 'Get the green bin out this wednesday and repeat every other week' just created this task for same day (monday). Also, when i type '/' or '\' in a page within android app, it does nothing. I am using Pixel 9 pro with latest Android 16 QPR Beta and up to date ByDesign App from playstore. I wanted to switch from ticktick and buy two licenses for myself and my wife, but I am not sure if Android App has all the features that are advertised on the website and in working condition ? Unfortunately, my trial expired now so cant test but very keen on knowing if i did something wrong !

A: Hey!!! So sorry for the delay! Currently, we only have NLP with desktop/web, but we're adding to mobile soon. In order to open the menu pop-up within pages, you need press the "+" sign on the bottom of the screen. Only web/desktop uses the "/" to open the menu pop-up. So sorry for the confusion! If you'd like to extend your trial, please email info@bydesign.io, and we'll restart it asap. We're also more than happy to provide a quick tutorial if that would be helpful. Cheers!

I just tried 'Get the green bin out this wednesday and repeat every other week' task in tick tick again and it worked flawlessly. It looks like there are some limitations of NLP in ByDesign ? The Webapp does give me option to add/link page, table etc when using '/' in a page, but the mobile app doesnt.

Thanks for your response. If anything I feel like purchasing the app because of the effort you have put into making something that is so close to being the perfect baby of notion+ticktick (my current way) and also your enthusiastic support over here. I did try the webapp with exactly this phrase "Get the green bins out this Thursday at 8pm and repeat every other week". It didnt work! syntax issue?

Hey! Sorry for the delay - you nailed it with the TickTick + Notion description :) I think the issue may be that we don't currently allow "every other" week in our options, but we can definitely add this. If you don't mind sending us a message in the in-app chat if you're still having issues - it makes it a lot easier for us to respond to you in real-time. Thanks again!
