Wow, seriously? They promised that we can work with videos when it's available. 250 one time credits is all we get after supporting them? That is a joke. Not cool

Video credits that were promised are not monthly but one time, and not mentioned anywhere. Certain types of styles fail to generate. After choosing the highest tier, they start limiting the account which seems unfair. Avoid if they come back!

I purchased Katalist.ai early last year on the Tier 3 plan. Initially, I didn’t use it much. In the past two months, I was surprised to see great improvements. The user interface has improved a lot in terms of friendliness, organization, and overall ease of use.

One feature I really appreciate is the ability to switch between image editing and video mode. The addition of a timeline view for videos is a smart touch. However, my first attempt at generating a video back in January resulted in a glitchy 19-second clip that was disappointing.

More recently, I encountered an issue where the software wouldn’t let me use my available credits and instead prompted me to purchase more. I reached out to customer support and was genuinely impressed by their responsiveness. They took the time to investigate the credit issue (since I hadn’t generated any substantial video content) and guided me through the process. I ended up purchasing additional credits, and my account was promptly rectified. This level of support not only reassured me but also reinforced my confidence in the platform.

While the software is clearly evolving well, there is still room for improvement, particularly in the area of environment and object consistency. For example, when telling a story that involves recurring objects (like a car), maintaining consistency across all frames would be ideal. Nonetheless, the overall automation of transforming a storyboard into video and the continuous improvements are very promising.

In short, Katalist.ai is proving to be an impressive tool for visual storytelling. The excellent customer service and ongoing enhancements show that the team is truly passionate about what they’re doing. I’m excited to continue using it and see where they take it next.

I purchased Tier 2 specifically for video generation, as promised in the deal. My account clearly shows 250 video credits per month, but I can’t use them! Every time I try to generate a video, I’m blocked by a paywall asking me to subscribe to a monthly plan, which completely defeats the purpose of the deal I purchased.

I trusted AppSumo’s reputation and bought this based on their guarantee, but this experience has been extremely disappointing and misleading. If a feature is advertised as included, it should actually be accessible! Unless this issue is fixed, I cannot recommend this deal to anyone.

I bought a Tier 3 Plan back in April because I thought it would be great for an upcoming project. I clicked the activation, went to Katalist, logged in and started to play around with the product. I thought it would be great.

Fast forward to December when I was ready to start my project and now my login in on the 'free' plan. I emailed support and sent them screen shots of my purchase and they responded that everyone was gone for a few weeks during the holidays. Everyone would be back after the New Years and my account would get fixed.

Now the person no longer responds to my emails, I've not heard from anyone, and my account status is still on the 'free' tier.

From everyone's recent reviews here it looks like I got screwed on this one and flushed $200 down the drain.

I saw an email last year from AppSumo about some apps being abandoned after the AppSumo deal. Maybe this was one of them.
