Q: How do ticket fees work?

I want to fully understand ticket fees.

1. Is the $0.99 fee payable on every ticket registered, whether a free or paid ticket?

2. Is the $0.99 fee payable on every ticket registered, whether they attend or not?

3. When are the fees paid to Remo?

4. What happens if ticket-holders want to cancel their ticket, or the event is cancelled?

5. Learning + setup session? If I put on a test event (eg to familiarise myself with the platform, or to check out everything is working), will I owe Remo $0.99 each time I fire up a test event?

6. Demo/training sessions? If I put on a demo, or a speaker/helper training session with 1 + 5 people registered, will I owe Remo $5.90 each time?

A: Hi Sumo-Ling,

Here’s a quick breakdown of ticket fees:

$0.99 fee per ticket: Applies only to paid tickets, whether attendees join or not. Free tickets incur no charges.

Fee collection: Both Remo and Stripe fees are deducted automatically at the time of sale. Payouts go directly to your Stripe account for hassle-free revenue reporting.

Cancellations: You will have the option to refund as the...

Q: Email/reminder language

I understand that Remo supports English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

However, I noticed in a previous post that you mentioned:
"Remo invitation/reminder emails will not be translated."

I have Tier 4. If some of my events are not in English, what would be the workaround to send invitations/reminders in the same language as the event?

A: Hi Sumo-Ling,

Thank you for your question.

You’re correct — currently, Remo’s invitation/reminder emails are only available in English and do not automatically translate.

As a workaround, you can create and send custom email invitations and reminders using external email tools (like Gmail). This allows you to write them in the same language as your event, ensuring consistency for your...

Q: Let's say I have an event for 350 people with 4 floors, and I want to have my own custom plan.

Will floors 2, 3, and 4 use the exact same plan as the first floor, or could floors 2, 3, and 4 get a different version of the first floor if I wish?

All of the floors on the event space will have the same floor plan.

A: Hi Sumo-ling,

Assuming you are referring to an always open event space, yes, you can run an evergreen event on Remo and answer questions in real time! While the event content can remain consistent as an evergreen setup, you or your team can be present during the event to engage with attendees through the live chat, Q&A, or by joining conversations at tables. This allows for real-time...

Q: Will there be more options to convey persistent information to attendees?

I think this platform is extremely reliable. It has some great features, but I'm finding it difficult to use the existing options for conveying persistent information. The content banners cannot reliably convey this information as they sometimes look like they are part of the background. Having the ability to pin a chat comment, write text in a content pop-up as opposed to only a very limited use iframe, and having announcements (including past announcements) up there with chat/participants/Q&A/Polls (hiding announcements forever after attendee closes seems like a missed opportunity) could solve this. Have any of these features mentioned been planned?

A: Hi Sumo-Ling,

Thank you for your question.

With regard to your query, we have introduced broadcasing mode so that attendees can look at the video announcements. Pinned comments is a great idea and we'd definitely look into this.

Alternatively, you can register for our product demo using one of the registration links below as per your convenience:
