SendFox has received positive feedback from customers for its user-friendly interface, efficient email automation, and affordable pricing. The automated sequence creation feature has been particularly praised. However, some users have noted limited customization options and occasional customer support delays as areas for improvement. Despite these minor issues, SendFox remains a solid choice for those seeking an email marketing tool. With an overall rating of 4.0 and a 60-day money-back guarantee, it's definitely worth considering.

Good basic email service, but needs a few improvements

Like: The user interface is reasonably easy to use and understand (though the videos need updating as it has changed slightly since they were made). The automation builder was straight forward and I really liked how the emails could be cloned and made into templates. The email builder itself was also easy to use if you just want to create simple emails. It's great that SendFox is also able to directly integrate with Book Funnel and Story Origin.

Dislike: No text wrapping in email builder. This gives less flexibility in design layout and while there are workarounds, they don't look good for both desktop and mobile. I also wish there was an 'or' feature in the automations, especially for triggers, so new subscribers could enter a flow by being added into this group OR this group OR this group. Having said that, I'm not sure it is a regular feature in any ESP, but it would be great. Forcing double opt in is also a little problematic, as subscribers may have already completed double opt-in before they hit Send Fox. This creates extra friction and annoyance for subscribers, and means I need to manually follow up or manually cull them so they don't weigh my list down. Once inside, I also discovered that someone unsubscribed cannot resubscribe later if they want to. That could be a problem.

Overall though, it is a very affordable and easy to use platform and I am mostly satisfied so far.

Does EXACTLY what we need!

It's easy for people to sign up for updates to our website. Nobody has to manage anything - AppSumo does all that. Then the sending out to people is Fabulous.
This product works. Reliably. Every time.
Thanks for making a great product.

Needs tech support

While the platform works well overall, when a feature doesn't work there is no way to get ahold of the company to get it fixed or notify them. There is only a feedback thread and if someone els posted the same issue you can't post on their thread because it says you login is wrong. Again- you can't report that issue either... Seems like an oversite to not be able to report when something isn't working correctly.

Lifetime Deal... Until It Isn't

Expect to see a growing number of one star/taco reviews for SendFox.

Like other reviewers, I'm extremely disappointed with how existing AppSumo lifetime customers have been treated.

I purchased SendFox through AppSumo because it was promoted as a lifetime deal. After supporting the platform for years while it matured, I've now been told that my "lifetime" plan has a lifetime email sending limit and that I must move onto a monthly subscription to continue using the service.

What disappointed me even more than the change itself was the way it was handled. I contacted support with a number of reasonable questions, including when this lifetime limit was introduced, when customers were notified that their lifetime plans had effectively been capped, why existing lifetime customers weren't grandfathered, why those of us who supported SendFox early are now expected to pay exactly the same subscription price as someone signing up today, and why the pricing jumps from USD $39 per month for up to 15,000 subscribers straight to USD $79 per month for up to 50,000 subscribers with nothing in between for growing small businesses.

None of those questions were answered.

Instead, I was simply told that the decision had been made by leadership, that it was final, and that there was nobody else I could speak to.

I also struggle to understand how a "lifetime" email allowance can be justified when the total number of lifetime email credits is only equivalent to a few months of sending on the current paid plans. That doesn't align with what most people would reasonably expect from a product marketed as a lifetime deal.

I understand that businesses face increasing costs over time, and I don't expect software companies to operate at a loss. However, I do expect companies to stand behind the commitments they made to the customers who supported them in the early days, or at the very least offer some form of meaningful grandfathering or loyalty pricing.

This feels completely at odds with the values AppSumo has always promoted: supporting new software companies in exchange for genuine lifetime access.

If you're considering purchasing SendFox, I'd encourage you to read the recent negative reviews before making your decision.

Superb value for great and great functionality

I first used Sendfox in 2021 and left for a "big name brand" with additional functionality. I've returned and the functionality is fantastic, and its so easy to set up, and use on a regular basis.
