I am considering purchasing your offer, but I want to make sure its going to be a true LTD and not fade out with GPT 3.5 otherwise its not much of an LTD. Thanks in advance for your reply!
As new models of GPT roll out from OpenAI, those will also be included if you purchase plan 3 or higher (i.e. if OpenAI comes out with GPT-5, you would have access).
Thank you for your fast reply. Just to make sure I am understanding correctly GPT 4 would replace GPT 3.5 in the way 3.5 works right now and GPT 5 would replace GPT 4 as it is right now? Is this correct?
Regarding your query: In plans 1 & 2 you can only use GPT 3.5 Turbo from the OpenAI API. In plans 3 and 4 you can use GPT 4 from OpenAI. You have to connect your API key so you will still pay small fees to OpenAI tool but the benefit of that is we don't have any limits so you can use it as much as you want.

The biggest differentiator right now is that SheetGPT allows you to do web browsing within Google Sheets. This allows you to input any URL and SheetGPT will return with all of the content on the page, allowing you to interact with it with AI. Super beneficial as it allows you to get more recent data (OpenAI is limited to data from 2021).
Also allows you to do some interesting things with web scraping + AI and helps you get creative with some SEO tasks. We plan to add more differentiators as well in the future, but that is the biggest one as of right now.
Hope that helps!

It just depends what OpenAI ends up doing. If GPT-4 becomes the norm and GPT3.5 becomes obsolete then we'll make tier 1 have GPT-4. It's impossible to know what OpenAI is going to do so giving a clear answer is not possible right now. For GPT-5, we're planning on only including that in plan 3 or higher.

Q: Hello Zaid,
Many thanks for your response below.
I decided to continue the thread here, to have it more organized.
1) Could the Official Google Extension be rejected? Or can we count on that as a new reality for SheetMagic
2) The function to create different texts based on selected cells: Can we expect this to be a reality this year? (Would be great to freely set params)
3) Is translation among the existing functions?
The official Extension to use SheetMagic everywhere is a prerequisite to indeed hop on board...
It's unlikely that the Official Google Extension will be rejected, as it's a valuable feature for users.
I may need further clarification to ensure I understand your request completely. However, if you are interested in SheetMagic's ability to generate diverse content based on specific data inputs, SheetMagic has the capability to achieve this. Should you require more information or have specific requirements, please feel free to elaborate, and we will provide a comprehensive response.
The translation function is not currently part of the existing functions. Nevertheless, you can utilize the =ai function and formulate a prompt to facilitate the translation of specific data as needed.

Q: Hi there!
I tried to find out the responses to the following questions going through the existing Q&As and Reviews...
If I missed them, feel free to link me to the existing response. If not, many thanks in advance for your replies.
Here we go:
1) Soon there will be an update, where sheets won't have to be copied, but on the contrary, the add on will be able to be installed in any existing sheet?
2) Is it or will it be possible to create a function where: selected cells are scanned for keywords and then be aggregated into a description? EG. Product description or general listing description?
3) A function where a cell/column is translated into another fixed column? EG. Input source columns are selected and translated into destination columns?
4) User management will be improved?
5) How precise is its scraping functionality?
6) Is there a prompt/function library that gives us better idea of all that can be achieved with Sheet? (Beyond the couple of functions in the documentation).
In the near future, we are working on releasing an official extension by Google, that will allow you to use sheetMagic on any sheet using our extension.
Creating a function to scan and aggregate cells based on keywords is a possibility, we will consider it.
We do not have a specific function for it right now but we will consider it.
User management will be improved in future updates.
Different scraping functions are provided for specific content targeting on a webpage. The scraping functionality's precision may vary based on the website structure.
Currently, SheetMagic includes a prompt library with over 50 prompts, and as for functions, there are 15 functions in total, 6 AI functions, and 9 scraping functions.
I have not yet tested such amount of data however SheetMagic's performance may depend on Google Sheets' server limitations and needs testing on 10,000 rows to determine.
As new models of GPT roll out from OpenAI, those will also be included if you purchase plan 3 or higher (i.e. if OpenAI comes out with GPT-5, you would have access)
While specifics are undisclosed, our primary focus is product enhancement. We intend to integrate GPT-5 advancements to continually elevate our solutions, delivering cutting-edge performance for our users.

Q: Hey,
I'm trying to figure out if SheetMagic can help me out with my use case:
I use a ChatGPT prompt very ...
often to create video scripts, which consist of giving a "question," a video script example as a reference for the structure, and then a URL that contains sufficient substance to generate a great reply to that question.
To do so, I'm using the ChatGPT-4 messenger with the "Link Reader" plugin to access the URL data.
Could I use SheetMagic to generate those in bulk?
Specifically, I'm trying to figure out if your =visit("URL") scraping function is similar to the "Link Reader" plugin (which I guess we can't access through the API?). Or does it just pull out the wall of text in the sheet, and then could make the prompt too long?
I'm not too familiar with Link Reader but from looking it up, it seems to do a similar job to the =visit() function in SheetMagic.
The =visit("URL") function in SheetMagic allows you to visit a specified URL and retrieve all the content on that page. If the content is too long, what you can do is try to use one of the other scraping functions we have in SheetMagic to make the prompt shorter and not make the prompt too long for it to provide a response.

Q: Where does the web browsing part come from?
I know Chat GPT just enabled their web browsing plugin again, but I was under the impression that the functionality wasn't available via their API.
The web browsing part of SheetMagic is something we built and is unrelated to OpenAI. We built custom functions to allow for all sorts of different web scraping capabilities and it doesn't cost any credits to use it.
LIST OF SCRAPING FUNCTIONS: =visit("URL") Visits a URL and returns all of the content on that page (which you can then interact with using AI) =serp("SEARCH QUERY") This will return the top 20 search results from DuckDuckGo in a table with the URL, meta title, and meta description. =getMetaTitle("URL") This will return the meta title for a given URL =getMetaDescription("URL") This will return the meta description for a given URL =getH1("URL") This will return the H1 for a given URL. =getH2("URL") This will return any H2s on a page for a given URL. =getHeadings("URL") This will return all the headings on a page for a given URL. =getp("URL") This will return all paragraphs wrapped in a <p> tag for a given URL. =pagedata("URL1", "URL2") This will get a lot of the page data listed above for a list of URLs and put it into an organized table for you.
SheetMagic uses a ‘visit’ function that will pull the content of whatever URL you give it.
Works…sometimes. :/

Hope that helps!
