A GREAT BUY AND AMAZING TOOL

I purchased Sociamonials a while back and have been using it for automating my posts. Lately I have been delving deeper into the amazing features, yeh right why wait, and I am blown away.

There are MANY help videos, tutorials and they are updated and kept abreast with new feature deployment, which occurs often. The change from when I first purchased to now is astronomical, and Craig has his ear to the ground so implements changes that have function and fit for purpose.

I have purchased the custom domain functionality, actually did that yesterday, and the service was quick, to the point and guidance caring.

I only have kudos for this product, and say that with sincerity. The price point, functionality, ease of use, updates and help deserve the highest accolades and I highly suggest this product hands down.

Worst social media tool. Ever.

Kept disconnecting accounts. Failed to post. Support weren’t helpful. Can’t event get a refund on this non-functioning tool.

Caused extreme stress and anxiety. Now have to pay Additional for a tool that works!

Hey there alix42!

Thank you for your review, I'm sorry to hear about your experience regarding Sociamonials, I've made sure to give them a friendly nudge regarding your case! They should be able to get back to you soon. 🤞

Hi Alix42,

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. This is the negative part of using any 3rd party tool to post to social media that many people don't consider. It is critical that you take steps to ensure a lasting connection with all of the social networks. Here are some tips that you can use so this issue doesn't happen anymore with Sociamonials, or your next tool if you do decide to move on to another (we hope you won't!):

1. Don’t share social account login credentials (usernames and passwords) between team members. Each person should be signing in to their own social accounts. Social networks can disconnect accounts when they detect users signing in to the same account from different devices, web browsers, or geographic locations. If you need to share access to a social account, do it by assigning them a user login from our software. (We give you 3 subusers with the AppSumo plan).

2. If more than one team member needs access to a Page or group, make sure each of their social accounts has Admin access to the Page or group.

3. Make sure that you and your team members know who will manage Page and group connections to our software. Whoever adds or reconnects Pages and groups with their social account needs to remain listed as an Admin of the Page or group. If an Admin's Page role or permissions are changed, the account will disconnect.

4. Avoid revoking our access from your social account's settings. When a social account is added, our social connection app (Campaign Share) gets authorized in your social account’s list of integrations. If Campaign Share is removed from that list (known as revoking access), the account will disconnect. Revoking not only disconnects your personal social account, but any Pages or groups you may have connected with your credentials.

5. Set up a recurring reminder to review who has access to your Pages and groups on Facebook and LinkedIn. Remove those who no longer need access. Remember that the user who adds and reconnects these accounts to our software needs to maintain their Admin access.

6. Use the same name on LinkedIn and Facebook that you use in everyday life. It’s important that people can identify who they’re connecting with on social. Alias usernames can be flagged as suspicious by the social networks.

7. Familiarize yourself with the community guidelines for each social network. Knowing the content policies will keep you from publishing something that gets flagged as inappropriate or spam.

8. Make sure you’re being proactive in keeping your social accounts secure. Many disconnections occur when a social network suspects that your account is compromised. Be aware that if your security policies do require you to proactively update login information, your accounts will disconnect from our software when their passwords are updated.

I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out to us in live chat and ask for me, personally, if you need further assistance.

Best,

Craig

Updated Review

UPDATE: The company got back to me and addressed my concerns. [1] When creating posts on multiple social media platforms, although there is only one text box on the left, if you click on the right on each "preview," you can edit the text that way. There was nothing to indicate this, so I still don't think this is very intuitive. However, I am happy it is at least possible. [2] There is still currently no ability to use different images for each, but I am told this feature is coming in the next 3-4 weeks. Once this change is made, I will be able to stop using multiple platforms to post and only use this one. THAT will definitely make the purchase worth its weight in gold. Until then, I will mainly use this to schedule evergreen posts in my Facebook group and use another scheduler for my actual posts to save time when I batch content.

----------------------------------------------------------

If you will be using this mostly for recurring evergreen posts (i.e., in your Facebook group), this will be perfect for you. However, if you like to batch content across multiple social media platforms, Sociamonials has a couple of flaws that are too huge to ignore!

[1] Although you can create posts for multiple social media platforms simultaneously, there is currently no way to customize text for each social profile. For example, if you post to IG, FB, and Twitter, the 280-character limit of Twitter will prevent you from creating any long-form posts on the other two platforms. You either have to type the same exact text for all posts or create individual posts, which I think is rather silly, especially given the differences in platforms and hashtags used for each. Most social media scheduling software can do this (i.e., in Later, Buffer, and Hootsuite).

[2] When trying to create posts on multiple platforms simultaneously, there is no way to use the same photos for say two posts and a different photo for a third post. Again, most social media scheduling software can do this (i.e., in Later, Buffer, and Hootsuite). This is a huge disadvantage to those like myself who batch content. I hope this is changed ASAP. Otherwise, it will take 3x as long to create and schedule the same amount of posts I currently create. For example, in Later, you can click on a post and edit it individually even though I created posts for 3 different platforms at the same time. I can also upload an image and customize or swap out that image for a different one for each platform simultaneously while creating a post.

These two features are a huge time-saver. Not having these features is a huge con for content schedulers who don't want to have to manually create each post on several platforms. Because these two features are missing, I still have to use another platform to effectively create my posts across 3 different social media platforms, which kind of defeats the purpose of buying this.

I will hold onto this for a month or so to see if these features are added. Otherwise, it likely won

At first I've had some issues navigating it, however, the team is amazing and Craig himself will even figure it out if all fails. Amazing!
