Hey! SMS is more built for generating short one scene social media clips, but you can paste a script in, generate a voiceover with our built-in text-to-speech, and SMS turns it into a video with image slideshows, animated captions, and transitions. Just a heads up - SMS doesn't stitch video clips together (no b-roll editing), but for script > voiceover > images, it should do what you need.

During editing there's the possibility to apply a transparent background - but the export removes it fully. Is there a plan to ADD the feature of exporting with a transparent background?
Also, are there plans to improve the export quality to 2k - 4k?

On transparent exports - MP4 doesn't support transparency at the file format level, so it's a container limitation rather than something SMS is stripping out. The transparent background option in the editor is really there so you can layer your own background image or video behind your visuals inside SMS. I'm not planning to add transparent...
Thank you for the reply. I want to add that the quality is GOOD. I found a small workaround so it's no issue. It's great software - can't wait to do longform (1 hour) vids with it in the future :). The text graphics are good but hope it further improves so your product slays capcut-like software :). Bless you and your team!
Just bought the biggest plan (4), and tried lots of things out. The only thing that doesn't seem to work on my side is the following: I can ONLY create the subtitles type karaoke, but I need them to be full sentences. This is a must for my type of content.
I tried uploading lots of different ways - w/ and without srt's or created transcriptions. Also tried resizing the project in every...

You're not doing anything wrong. I recently removed the sentence and phrase subtitle types because they weren't rendering reliably. If you want to remove the highlight effect, just change the highlight color so it's the same as the font color.
Hey! Just so you know, I've added a new "Regenerate Subtitles" button in the transcript editor. Clicking on this will let you regenerate the phrase listing. I've added a new option called "Whole sentences". This should not split up any sentences unless they go for longer than 15 seconds.
I've tried it, it works. Thank you Rane, for your fast response and effort. Hugely appreciated.
I played with the sizing (so whole sentences would fit within the video in nice alineas) and it's clean :) i'm curious to future use cases and how it will fit my workflow. I'm very positive!
