Q: Urgent: Credit Usage Concerns on Straico Platform I am writing to express my concerns regarding a recent ...
issue I've encountered on your platform. As a Tier 3 user, I anticipated that my credit points would comfortably last throughout the month. However, over the past week, I've observed a troubling trend that is rapidly depleting my credits.
The issue arises with Straico's new algorithm, which seems to truncate responses prematurely and prompts me to "Re-generate" or "Continue." When I click "Continue," it uses double the credits for just a few more lines (because it includes the previous content), and then it happens again. This has become particularly problematic, as it took over 10 iterations just to generate a 600-word content piece yesterday. Consequently, what should have cost me 240 credits ended up consuming more than 2,600 credits on Claude 3 Ops.
This pattern raises concerns about the efficiency and fairness of credit usage on your platform. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of online, having to click "Continue" over and over again to get full responses, which quickly uses up my credits. At this rate, even a substantial balance of 100,000 credit points would not suffice for more than 15 days.
I request your immediate attention to this matter. Could you please investigate this issue and provide a resolution to prevent further unnecessary depletion of credits? Additionally, I would appreciate any guidance or adjustments you can offer to rectify the excess credits consumed due to this algorithm behavior.
Anybody faces the same issue here?

Aug 18, 2024A: Hello Sriniji,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns regarding credit usage on the Straico platform. Your experience is important to us, and we're here to provide clarity and support for any issues you might be experiencing.
Let's delve into the "Continue" functionality and its interactions with Large Language Models (LLMs). When "Continue" is selected, the platform combines the prior context with your current input to maintain the conversation's flow, ensuring responses are coherent and contextually relevant.
Now let's cover an important topic that is key in this scenario, I don't know if you know it, but it is the wordcap limit. The wordcap limit allows you to manage the maximum number of characters you wish to send for each request; it's a powerful tool designed to give you control over the amount of content (and thus, credits) used for each operation. Essentially, it ensures that no more than a set number of characters are sent in a request, similar to how platforms like ChatGPT and Claude operate seamlessly behind the scenes.
This feature is particularly useful in avoiding the rapid depletion of credits, as it prevents the system from taking excessively long inputs (like the whole context of the conversation) that go beyond what you require in each message. By setting a word cap limit low or that you're comfortable with, you can better manage your credits, ensuring that you're not spending more than necessary for the content being produced.
I recommend taking a moment to review the feature and adjust it according to your needs. Our guide on understanding the word cap limit provides a comprehensive look into how this functionality works and offers suggestions for setting a limit that aligns with your usage patterns: [Understanding Word Cap Limit](https://straico-uqhq.updates.userguiding.com/post/wordcap-limit-v-830).
If you find any discrepancies in credit usage even after adjusting the word cap limit, or if you need further assistance in managing this feature, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We're more than ready to help conduct a thorough review, make the necessary adjustments, and ensure that your Straico experience is as efficient and satisfying as possible.
Your insights and feedback are invaluable to us, and we're committed to ensuring your experience with Straico is not just satisfactory, but exceptional.
Best regards,

Alejandra,
Thanks for reverting. However, you have not yet addressed my specific inquiries and keep repeating this. I am familiar with the word setting limits. I asked why Straico stops after a few lines and requires me to click "continue," which uses more and more data with each subsequent click. This is for 600 words. My word limit was set at 10,000. This is about your algorithm.
