Q: Why not opt for a Lifetime Annual Deal?

Hi,

Tarvent appears to be a robust platform. While I appreciate the understanding that one-time payment LTDs aren't ideal for sustained capital generation, I'm curious about the rationale behind choosing an "annual deal" structure instead of a "lifetime annual deal," specifically from a capital generation perspective.

Price predictability is a significant factor for early adopters. The Tier 3 pricing example highlights this: while the initial $206.10 for the first year is attractive, the advertised increase to $936 in year two (even with the 50% discount) represents a substantial jump. This raises concerns about long-term cost predictability, especially due to the lack of assurance against further price increases in subsequent years, potentially impacting the long-term affordability and value proposition for early adopters?

A: Great question and thank you for not just bashing. Even the 1yr deal is less than we can sustain for an annual LTD price. Honestly, this is new to us and we never considered making the 1yr a lifetime price. A: Yes, Activepieces is on the roadmap. We just haven't been able to get to it yet. However, if you let Activepieces know you're interested, they may build out the integration. Due to all the interest, Pabbly and a few others built out their integrations with Tarvent for us as well.

Q: cost to upgrade after 12 months

You've said that users can rollover after the 12 months at 50% off for their existing tier , but it sounds like you cannot upgrade your plan and keep the discount.

What happens there. Is there a cost per thousand contacts or something?

A: You can upgrade during the AppSumo deal or when you convert to a standard plan at 50% off. You're not locked in. If you're on AppSumo at 10k contacts and, after a year, want to upgrade to 50k, you'll still get 50% off the 50k. That's the benefit AppSumo peeps are getting that no one else gets.

Q: Deal Structure Feedback

Some feedback on the deal structure: despite obviously being focused on lifetime deals, I'm not apposed to Annual deals and I like the idea of supporting a more mature product long-term but with a deep discount for our support on Appsumo... however the pricing change after the year is up really does put me off (despite being interested).

This is probably feedback better directed at AppSumo rather than Tarvent... but for me personally, while I would be keen to give a platform like this a try in a deal where the annual price we pay on AppSumo remains the price we continue to pay annually until such time as we cancel (rather than a new pricing arrangement a year from now), as the deal is now I don't think I feel comfortable committing to it.

If the deal structure were to change, then I would definitely reconsider.

Q: Tier 4 - 1 Year Later

If purchasing tier 4 with 30,000 contacts after 1 year my payment would be 50% of regular price. Yearly $2,184 or Monthly $227.50

Do we get choose of monthly or yearly?
