Hi,as mentioned by others,i think you should improve file upload to at least 10mb per file, are you planning to do so?If yes,i would be happily buy at least 2 codes.Thanks.

Hey!

Yes, it can be used to upload zip files :)

OK, I will buy it. I really like the idea somebody else floated about mapping to S3 or Google Drive.

Hi Axel,

this could be handy, especially if you develop it further and allow us to set 3rd party locations for storage, like a specific folder on google drive/pcloud/icedrive/dropbox

with a notification service.

My question is what protections, if any, does the app provide against malicious files uploaded with viruses etc?

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jon!

Thanks for your message! And great question here :)

I'm working on the ability to add your custom S3 buckets instead of using the Uplomatic servers to store your files.

To reply to your question about viruses : yes, it uses an anti-malware app that checks all files before they are saved to our CDN. If the file is flagged as malicious, it is automatically deleted and the user will receive an error message in this case ;-)

Thanks,

Axel

Hi - can it be used on multiple domains?! Will stacking two codes double size and storage limits?

Thanks!

Hi there!

Thanks for your message and for your great questions here :)

1. You can create as many upload widgets as you want on your account. One widget is attached to one domain you define while creating it. So you can have as many widgets as you want per account and you can install them on as many domains as you want

2. Yes, by purchasing 2 codes, you can create 2 different accounts (with 2 different emails) and double your storage in that way.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks,

Axel

3 mb per file? First I thought this sounded interesting. But I really can't remember when I shared a file that was less than 3 mb. Probably not since the introduction of Google Documents.

I find it hard to see a proper user case for this. It's a good idea though - but 3 GB in total and 3 mb per file makes it useless.

Will you be upgrading the limits substantially this year?

Hi there!

I understand your point. The purpose of the upload widget is to integrate it in a form on your website. For example, on your register form so your users can upload their profile picture / avatar with a 3mb limit.

However, Uplomatic is still pretty new so depending on the costs on my end, I will eventually increase those limits in time :)
