The review summary should be: "Customers are all about WeCP, praising its excellent support, diverse test creation options, and strong cheating prevention measures. There are a few hiccups like limited customer support and restricted sign-up process, just small bumps on the road. Weighing the raves against the occasional grumbles, WeCP is hitting the mark and is a solid buy for those in need of an AI skills assessment platform. Since it's refundable, give it a try, because there's a 60-day money-back guarantee."

WeCP represents a unique opportunity for Sumolings
WeCP ('We Create Problems') is one of those rare types of tools that very seldom appear as a lifetime deal. I've been purchasing lifetime deals since 2015, and this is only the third time I've encountered a tool of this caliber. In fact, out of the other two similar tools, only one truly comes close to WeCP.
Hiring the wrong candidate is costly and can result in mistakes, delays, and disruptive team dynamics, so I didn't hesitate for a moment to jump on this deal. Drawing from past experiences, I always thoroughly vet any lifetime deals before purchasing, and WeCP was no exception. The tool is used by well-known companies and several people in my network who consistently prioritize quality.
WeCP has been on the market for eight years and boasts a sizable and experienced team. Checking the founder’s LinkedIn profile revealed numerous recommendations highlighting both his ethical leadership and professional skills. To quote just a few: "an ethical and empathetic leader," "delivers far more than asked for," "always goes those extra two miles," and "Abhishek has excellent skills in Machine Learning and AI."
Though I'm not yet deeply immersed in using WeCP, I've observed unique features such as excellent UX and thorough candidate checks, including camera verification, photo capture, and clipboard monitoring—features I've been actively searching for.
I rarely take the time to write reviews on AppSumo nowadays, but I genuinely believe that WeCP represents a unique opportunity for Sumolings. The founder, the tool itself, and the team behind it all deserve top ratings. I completely understand if people are skeptical due to the current rating level, but I'd strongly recommend giving WeCP a chance, knowing you have the option to return it within 60 days according to AppSumo’s terms.

Edited Mar 12, 2025Thank you for appreciating us. We didn't get so many great reviews so far but we're working on to improve, so that people like us. Either users are super happy or super frustrated.
Here is where what got us poor reviews:
1) our appsumo integration had some glitch which caused problem to few users, but now that's all sorted.
2) we didn't add a lot of K12 questions to our bank but we're on it and...

Restrictive and They Create Problems...
I was stoked to find WeCP on Appsumo - it's not every day you come across a tool that's so unique. As someone who's into education, I was excited to give it a try. The fact that it started with coding and has expanded to other areas, like English Pro with CEFR assessment, made it seem like a solid choice.
But, my enthusiasm was short-lived. The sign-up process was super restrictive, and I couldn't even get started without a business email address. I don't have one, so I was stuck from the get-go. The free account was basically useless, and I couldn't get a feel for what the software could actually do. To try out the premium features, I had to share a pre-written post on LinkedIn, which I did. But, even after that, I never got access to the premium version.
It was pretty frustrating, to be honest. It feels like WeCP is more interested in making sales than letting people actually try out their product and give feedback. I was hoping to find a tool that would help me make a difference, but WeCP's restrictive approach made it impossible for me to even get started.
WeCP might be a rare find on Appsumo, but its limitations and strict policies make it unlikely to win over many fans. As it stands, it seems like WeCP is mainly designed for businesses, rather than people who are genuinely interested in trying it out and providing feedback.
All the best to the team. The video where they pitched their product is inspiring though.

Great Tool Overall
I've held off on leaving a review until I could actually use it for actual hiring candidates so I can see how everything works.
After using the system for about a month now, I think that WeCP can be a very good investment towards improving your hiring systems. Is it perfect right now? No. Does it do what it promises to do? Yes, I believe it does. Does the system help to improve hiring outcomes, I do believe it does. We've managed to filter out candidates and find some really strong hiring opportunities so far.
The WeCP system works well overall. The measures to prevent cheating work well overall, and the experience overall was great.
Some things require a bit of work, but I feel the developers are dedicated to really improving the system and supporting their users.
Some things I'd like to see:
1. Improved QA over questions in the system
- Some questions had incorrect answers
- Some tests had duplicate questions
2. Ability to invite candidates with a link vs email only
3. Better UX for creating tests
- Finding and adding questions from multiple types of tests required too many steps
4. A guide/tutorial for candidates for using the built-in IDE
- I've noticed that some candidates didn't seem to understand how to submit exam tests where they had to submit code using their IDE

Not suitable for anything beyond the coding world
I was very interested in this and purchased the highest tier. I purchased it for non-coding based area, which I was told it would be fine for. It definitely was not. I have delayed writing this review because I generally don't like writing negative reviews. But so many of waste time, which money, when we are not told things just to get the sale. I cannot know how good it is for the coding world, I just know it was no good for my niche which was academic knowledge area.

Edited Feb 13, 2025I'd politely disagree. More than 20 universities (including UC Berkeley, University of Sydney) and over 15 schools bought WeCP in the last few months.
While I agree we started as coding assessment tool, conducting test with academia style open-ended questions, MCQs, video questions etc is not at all a difficult thing in WeCP.
I am assuming you tried creating an open-ended test with our AI and...
