to Black-Owned Businesses
We at AppSumo want to take this time to express our solidarity with the Black community. As an Austin-based company, there’s no denying the systemic racism and inequality faced by Black people in every sector and industry in America.
It is our ethos that entrepreneurship should be equally accessible to everyone. We want to make sure that we’re properly serving the Black community – not only during this crucial moment, but also moving forward towards a more equitable future.
We are proud to announce that we’re reopening our Software Fund with a focus on Black-Owned Businesses — both brick-and-mortar and digital. We have re-opened this fund and will give out $50 in AppSumo Credits to 300 businesses and entrepreneurs for immediate redemption towards tools and software that will help them on their road to success. Your first AppSumo tool is on us — many of the products in our store are lifetime deals with no expiration date, reaffirming our continued commitment to Black entrepreneurship.
We are also donating $10K to the Social Justice Innovation Program at Divinc., a nonprofit dedicated to making the startup ecosystem more diverse, equitable, and inclusive of BIPOC, women, and underrepresented entrepreneurs. Inclusion and equality have to start from the ground up, not as an afterthought. We all stand together in this fight, and we will all be better for it.
