AppSumo Community Guidelines


Hey Sumo-ling! We are so excited that you’re here. Come in, make yourself at home, and mingle with your fellow taco lovers. We only ask that you follow these rules and have the time of your life.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:

  • Try the product before you review it.

  • Add value. Leave reviews with constructive feedback and provide examples of how you used the product to help other Sumo-lings make an informed purchasing decision.

  • This is not a support forum. Reach out to the partner’s support email if you are experiencing issues or need help.

  • While you can speak to your support experience with partners, we won't allow comments that are solely about the support you receive. This is key to ensuring AppSumo doesn't become another support forum for partners.

  • Focus on the product. If you don’t like the deal terms as they are, please don't leave a review solely based on the offer's value. Leave the negotiating to us.

  • Don't hold tacos hostage! We'll deny reviews from users who sought some type of bonus from partners in exchange for a review.

  • Be respectful and play nice (no cursing/profanity, harassment, or hate speech)!

  • No affiliate links of self promotion.

  • Don’t impersonate AppSumo staff, partners, or public figures.

  • Asking a question? Use the search feature (CTRL/CMD + F) in case a Sumo-ling already asked it.
