Q: I like to look of 1brand but have feedback and need clarification on a few questions: 1) Does the white ...
labeling apply to the agencies' unlimited basic clients or just the 20/75 pro clients?
2) All of the brand covers say "Language US English for the US market". As an UK agency with UK clients this is a deal breaker (see Q3) can this be removable?
3) There needs to be the ability to add descriptions to the pages (like the cover) to explain the logo, intro, colours. Not just the 1brand generated text.
4) The "Happy Branding!" is not appropriate/professional for all clients and needs to be removable.
5) I see you intend to add more features as you go, however 1brand is still vastly lacking in guideline features compared to Frontify. So to then restrict the agency plan to only unlimited basic plans makes the $1k p/y cost a bit unjustifiable, especially as the basic plan barely constitutes enough content to create a satisfactory brand guide. The agency plan should get pro's or at least a beefed up basic plan for the cost (obviously the current deal helps by giving an initial batch of pro plans as well).
6) The logo rules have the "don't do this" which is great, but no ability to add what users can "do" with the logo. Do's & Dont's are both essential for a brand guide.
Some confusing/frustrating bugs we found were:
1) On the dashboard, the brand/asset/collateral menus are useless and don't actually do anything even though they are clickable.
2) The "x" in the top right of the brand guideline also never works (is this because it only works for pop-up windows rather than new tabs?).
3) I tried 5 of our client websites in the logo auto-generation wizard and not once could the system pull through the website's logo which was a bit disappointing.
The good stuff:
1) Vastly faster to set up that frontify.
2) Way better looking than frontify. The brochure-style is much more up our street.
3) The auto-gen of logo file types, colours, logo rules and the general visuals is very helpful.
Thanks!
