I can't recommend this product.

Sure, the idea sounds promising yet it raises more concerns than benefits.

First, the redeem didn't work. That got clarified and solved after a few days though it was certainly not a good start.

Once the situation got clarified, a call was arranged and I was shown around the application. The fact that it isn't a simple Web app raised concerns on my side; I started to feel that there was too much of a business associated with data extraction.

Next, in order to provide access to Google-related sources I was requested to proceed with creating my own Project on Google Console and essentially bypass all securities that Google establishes to avoid abuses. That is: instead of being 1Page who would access our stuff, we'd be doing it on THEIR behalf.
That's a total no no and raises extreme concerns as to the actual intentions behind the company.
There's a reason why Google establishes extensive vetting procedures for app connectors.

I simply don't trust the company. Refund time.

Regarding Google requirements - please read here
https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/9110914?hl=en#zippy=%2Cgmail-drive-and-google-fit-apis%2Cexceptions-to-verification-requirements

We chose this approach

Internal Use: The app is used only by people in your Google Workspace or Cloud Identity organization. Note that your app will not be subject to the unverified app screen or the 100-user cap if it's marked as Internal.

This is the safest approach - you as a company can control when an external app will have access to your data.

Why we chose this approach

https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/9110914?hl=en#zippy=%2Cgmail-drive-and-google-fit-apis%2Cexceptions-to-verification-requirements%2Csteps-to-prepare-for-verification%2Csteps-for-apps-requesting-sensitive-scopes%2Csteps-for-apps-requesting-restricted-scopes%2Csecurity-assessment

Very recently Google started this practice. It costs $15,000 to $75,000 for each assessment which has been vehemently protested in the developer community. We might go for it post-funding. But not right now.

Alternative

You need not go through the hassle of doing the above steps. We have created a card with the email address of a contact - tap on it - it opens your Gmail with emails filtered by that email address - which is exactly what we do in the app if we have access.

We care about user's privacy and data security very seriously. All your emails and attachments that are shown on the app never go through our server. They are directly pulled from the device and are stored temporarily for offline access. Even if all our servers are down, the app will continue to work without fail.
