Hi, this is my sum up. I am thinking to refund. Pros Generous offer and his server works. Most potential. Cons If you have a mistake is not posible to fix it. Not posible delete campaigns, not posible pause campaigns. You can not manages contacts in bulk, just one by one. You have to import and import. Not custom fields. When you are designing a email or campaign, each time you update, push out and have to start again. The UX is confusing and you need lot of time to do something.
I don't know why some other reviewers are not happy with this product. I was also somewhat sceptical looking at the UI and the response from owners to appsumo questions and reviews, but then I decided to give it a try.
So far I was using ActiveCampaign basic 9$ plan for occasionally sending emails to my tiny email list. (while I was waiting for people at Erxes to improve their Email marketing system.)
I found 366 to be very useful for my use case. 5k contacts and 25k emails are more than what I was getting in the ActiveCampaign basic yearly plan.
Although the platform took me a day to set up, connect my custom domain and put the DKIM keys. But now, I feel the time was well worth it.
The email designer is another added benefit although I wasn't looking for it. The support team is quite responsive and I get timely replies. Email deliverability, tracking and engagement score is also something I like.
Although a con is that it takes more clicks than usual to launch an email campaign, but it doesn't concern me right now. Yes the UI looks dated but what I care about is the functionality.
Another thing, I asked them for a public roadmap, but they didn't seem to have one right now. Although there isn't something specific I'm looking for, as what I need is already there.
I bought this tool after hearing their webinar. The webinar sounded like this tool was a must-have so I stacked up 5 codes after comparing it to other tools that I am currently paying for. I am disappointed that there is no CRM built in but because I have a major CRM right now it works. The CRM I currently pay for only allows for one domain, but I have 3 brands. It is also hard to send campaigns out of because even though I have the tags it just does not work for 3 brands. This tool is perfect if you run several brands and want to send each subscriber through a campaign. Unfortunately, you can tell right away this was a tool that was built from the inside out. It was not really built from the customer in it was built from the internal user out. The UI screams that. The UI and set up basically says (you should know where this is or how to do this already) A comparison for older tech heads would be (it has the power of Lotus Notes, but lacks the ease of use like MS Outlook) With all of that said, the tool has so much potential I just think that it is being marketed wrong. I think charging for onboarding is not a very good move seeing that the tool is built unlike any other tool ever seen on AppSumo. The integrations are limited. Lacking at least the bottom feed like Zapier is really not good. Sure I stacked 5 codes and gave it only 3 tacos. I stacked 5 codes because for a multi-brand user it is exactly what the doctor ordered. I need this exact tool in my toolbox because I have multiple brands. I just don't think everyone on Appsumo will need this tool. AppSumo users are looking for white-label and agency features or a niche product that they can easily incorporate into their current tech stack. This tool has neither. Is it a bad tool, No it works like they say it should work. Does it have a CRM in the year 2020? Sadly disappointed, but no. Does it have auto-posting to social media sites? Yes, but so does the last 5 apps that came to sumolings over the last year. If they added even a small CRM this tool would have very good legs. If they made onboarding smoother or added at least youtube recorded onboarding then they could have at least earned 4 tacos. Once I get into the tool more I may come back and add a taco, but the learning curve is preventing me from doing things easily so it is 3 tacos right now. The good news is if you run multiple brands and want to market to all of them then you must at least get 3+ codes. It is a must-have for multiple brands. A Must! If they update the training then I will move it up to 4 tacos.
PROS: -Really good for multibrand email marketing -True emailer using your own email domain -If upfront time is spent learning the unusual workflow this tool could be very good at what it does. Very Good!
CONS: -The learning curve is the most difficult I have seen for an app sumo offer -Email set up is the most difficult I have seen for an app sumo offer
I purchased this tool as part of my CRM which is Salesforce. It states on the top on the page that integrates with Salesforce. I reached out to their customer service and was told that the Salesforce integration for the AppSumo deal. I bought two codes but because of this "mishap" in their advertisement, I will ask for a refund.
