Has A Lot of Potential
I've seen Acadle around for a bit. I've watched it grow and still waited. Then I decided to do a 7 day trial to dig further before buying in.
Acadle has a lot to offer in the realm of E-Learning. Setting up your "Academy" is pretty easy and getting courses added it pretty simple. I'm not a "read the manual" kind of person, and for the most part found it to be pretty easy to use. A few things were not so straight forward and I had to learn from trial and error (such as adding a Youtube video, I realized all you have to do is literally drop in the link rather than the entire embed code).
During the trial I tinkered around and ended up in a bind with my Academy. It was 100% my error but Nizamudheen was on chat quickly to help me work through it. I also made a suggestion via chat with him and in less than 24 hours he had it implemented and updated me about it. So the Dev is very active with his product (and has been prior to this deal here).
While this LMS is easy to use, there's a few things I think need to be improved.
The biggest one for me is the quiz. The quiz is basic with one option that is a question and single select multiple choice answer setup. There's no option to allow for multiple answer select and there's no open ended discussion style question option. The open answer question is a must have especially in situations where an instructor/teacher will want the answer from the student's point of view.
Some of the other things are just minor stuff for me that I think would help improve the overall design/flow of this LMS. Such as:
Adding manual imput of who the course is by that shows up in the course list.
Adding a banner that shows if the course is moderated/lead by a team member.
Adding categories/tags to the course description.
Login page styling: separate the title in the area from the Academy name.
Overall this LMS has a ton of potential. I look forward to seeing it grow.
