Ideal course platform for company in-service trainings
From the Admininistration/Management Standpoint:
Acadle is a hybrid design of being a learning management system and self-paced online course platform. It is best first to know what one wish to do with one’s online course platform, instead of paying for more sophisticated platforms with features that you might not need anyway.
Acadle is great if you are in need of a tool that is minimalist and simple to use. For example, Acadle only has a landing page and is not a customizable website. This might be a disappointment for some but for others who already have a website running, it is easy enough to integrate as a page of their existing website.
It does not have an automatic payment system. However, this might be advantageous because you can receive payments in different modes, then, enroll the student/customer through the dashboard.
Acadle is ideal for smaller and manageable number of students or customers because of the lack of automation. So, it great to use for a company’s in-service trainings, for example.
You cannot send a link of a particular course to a customer so you need to advertise it in a different way. Students will have to be grouped in order to enable/disable viewing of particular courses, in case, you do not wish all the courses to be accessible to the student.
You can invite users to assist the admin in different roles and responsibilities, for example, in course preparations or enrollments.
Acadle does not host videos and has very little storage. Videos need to be hosted in another storage. You can embed the video into the Acadle course platform or direct the learners to a link. You could embed videos from You Tube or Vimeo. You can also buy a video storage platform and use that to link with your Acadle course platform.
it has customization to make your lessons chronological with a button that says “completed” before proceeding to the next session. The course thumbnails are also customizable. It does not have the capacity to record the grades and perform the necessary calculations accordingly, like some platforms. But it has gamification possibilities which would make it interesting for students.
It does not have an automatic payment system or automatic enrollment system to a particular course. As an admin, you need to enroll a student from within Acadle. So, this is not suitable for those who just wish to have an online course platform that is fully automated so you could have passive income. You would need to do some work.
From the Students’ Standpoint:
Acadle has a very simple interface. The feature that is notable is the section where the student could write their personal notes. There is also a discussion button where the student could post comments. Something that could be improved is the ability in the discussion button to upload a file.
Generally, the simplicity of Acadle is probably its best feature, in my opinion.
