Q: How do you compare or differ from Cheat Layer, Procesio, and Robomotion?
How about Syncspyder?

Jun 27, 2024A: Hi Garrick, thank you for asking this but it's impossible for me to answer it accurately for many reasons:
- The tools fall in different categories.
- And I'm not an expert at each of them.
But here are my thoughts:
- Robomotion falls in RPAs. This is screen automation rather than API automation like us. Screen automation means that the tool will see your screen, record steps and repeat them. API automation like us is more of communicating with APIs in the background.
API automation is usually more robust as it uses the official APIs designed by the service itself. But screen automation is very helpful when you're automating work with tools without public APIs.
- Procesio focuses on process automation: Generate a document, get an approval via email and send the document. We're more generic which means we don't have tools to generate documents native to Activepieces. However, we have an approval step. So we're more generic than Procesio so you can expect a more diverse catalog of pieces.
- Syncspider seems to be focused on e-commerce which means they might lack some connectors that are not e-commerce (think Google Calendar, Slack or Trello). This is from what I see on their website and connectors catalog.
I don't have enough information about CheatLayer as I hear different thoughts from people who bought it, but you probably can compare it now to Activepieces using the information I listed here.
I hope this turns out to be helpful of some sort. Thanks again!

how do you compare to n8n.io , the biggest open source automation platform? is your self hosting or integration ability better? Can you take their open source integrations that have made public and reuse them for activepieces?
