Don't buy it!!

We just purchased License Tier 5 (Lifetime access) 2 days ago. Today we are doing the first email campaign. The subscriber list has been optimized and cleaned using Acumbamail's pro tool, with 95% good rating, yet Acumbamail stopped the campaign saying that they "detect a high number of emails that do not exist or complaints" and demand us to pay 113 euros so they can clean the list and reactivate the campaign!

I'm asking for a refund.

I bought Acumbamail during the previous deal, but I didn't really use it until recently. Our first campaign was one that did not use our current list, but had a fresh subscription. Once we launched the campaign to 100% new, opt-in, subscribers (who theoretically would have been waiting for our campaign because that's why they subscribed, specifically) we saw horrible open rates. I actually thought it was just the campaign and maybe the subscribers were just not engaging. But after reading the reviews here and how many others were experiencing low percentages, I had a second think.

(Oh, by "horrible", I mean the last time we ran a similar campaign using a different company, the open rate was 5x better.

So, before running our next campaign, I decided to create a whole new list with specific emails belonging 100% to people I know so I could see if the emails were even making it to the inboxes. Gmail put them in spam. We have all the "deliverability" settings in place: DKIM, SPF, DMARC, and an average to above-average deliverability and open rate using a different service.

Acumbamail offers some pretty strong features, even if the UI is a bit outdated as are some of the templates: Integrations, landing pages, etc. Plus, the ease of use is great, (even if it does revert back to Spanish at times; it is a Spain-based company, after all, so it's only understandable that Spanish would be its default). Never had any trouble navigating the site or setting up emails, etc. If it werent for the deliverabilty issues, I'd recommend this highly.

But, if the emails don't end up in inboxes, the service is useless. Hence the one taco. Get my emails into inboxes and the 1 would go to a 5.
