Easy migration from MailChimp
I'm new to AcumbaMail, but have been finding it very easy to migrate over my existing mailing lists from MailChimp (you can either do it automatically, via an API key, but it only migrates over the email address, first name, last name fields; or you can import a CSV file to migrate over custom fields, like Birthday or Tags).
Setting up my new subscriber on-boarding automations was also very easy, and I love having a branching logic option to send a subscriber down different paths depending on the value of the certain fields. (I have subscribers in different language, so I am able to send them the Welcome sequence of emails in their preferred language.)
There's also a very nice selection of pre-designed email templates that can be modified with the point-and-click editor.
There are a few small things that I'd like to improve about importing subscribers and setting up the new forms:
- Allow Date input fields to toggle between Day/Month (US format) and Month/Day (European format)
- Give the option for users to enter only a Day & Month in a Date field (right now, the Date calendar widget forces users to select a year, as well, which is not useful for Birthday fields)
- When mapping input fields to columns in the underlying subscriber list, only the column type (Char, Num, Date, etc.) appear in the selection drop-down list, rather than the Column Name labels. This makes finding the correct column to map a matter of guesswork.
All in all, a great deal and a very nice, easy-to-use but powerful email program.
