I'm an amateur when it comes to email marketing [I've used MailChimp, Constant Contact, SendinBlue, and Mail merge software like YAMMS, in some capacity].

Anyway, I was attracted to Acumbamail because of the positive reviews and the fact that it's an established company [9 years in the running].

So, I originally gave the free plan a shot [if you're on the fence, try it out. You get access to core features and can decide whether the tool is a good fit]

The tool did not disappoint - it's super user-friendly and intuitive, and the template builder has a wide variety of options. The templates look professional and they're easy to customize [they've even got animated content - like moving cat eyes on a Halloween template, I'm a sucker for dynamic content lol].

I bought Acumbamail primarily because I need a cost-friendly email marketing tool to send out a weekly newsletter, so the sending capacities suit me fine.

I would strongly consider your use case before buying the tool; the sends are limited, but the subscribers are unlimited. This arrangement suits my needs well, but it might be less cost-effective depending on your needs.

Here are some additional considerations:

- SMS is available in very select countries. I did not buy the tool for SMS marketing, though.

- As many users have pointed out, a great deal of support material is in Spanish.
But, I found the platform intuitive and easy to use (at least for the use cases I concerned myself with), so this wasn't much of an issue for me (so far, lol).

- SMTP is NOT enabled by default. You need to put a request in.

Easter eggs:

- Check out the 'personal' templates in the landing page builder. The templates are just like what premium link-in-bio tools offer, so it's a nice touch for personal brands and creators. You can slap a form in them too, although the classic form templates are quite basic.

- I mentioned at the start of the review that Acumbamail has been around for 9 years. That's honestly a big reason behind why I bought the tool - it doesn't feel like a gamble because it already has an established user base.
Hopefully, they'll be around for years to come and the platform will keep evolving. I know this is a big plus for LTD buyers like myself coz...we all know that 'lifetime' is only great if the product stays alive xD

What I'd like to see:

- More integrations
- More templates for classic forms! They're a bit bare-bones, although you can customize them.
- SMS availability in more regions xD
