I've been eyeing a few deals here on AppSumo to add video and audio to my membership site offerings. I decided to start trying Adilo because of its hosting feature, not just because of its ability to record screen or audio.

Before Adilo, I tried the free accounts with Loom and Bonjoro for screen recording. I've also used Vimeo for hosting and briefly looked at Wistia.

Pros:
* Love the lifetime deal opportunity, especially since I'm bootstrapping my startup
* Love the hosting feature, both for video and audio
* The platform so far has been intuitive and easy to use, although I don't mind digging into good support docs when needed
* Easy to record a snap with SnapByte

Cons:
* SnapByte really attracted me. I tested the playback of the snap in the dashboard, and the video and audio playback was just fine. I then sent the snap link to myself in an email.
Playing the snap at the URL was completely awful. The audio played normally, but the video barely played and was completely out of sync. I looked terrible, which makes the SnapByte feature unusable for me right now.

I'm hoping that the SnapByte playback will improve before the end of my refund period, but I likely will still hold on to this deal anyhow because of the incredible lifetime value.
