Formerly known as Fotolia, Adobe Stock is a media asset library from Adobe that provides designers and businesses with a database of high-quality, curated, royalty-free assets and templates.

Adobe Stock assets are available anywhere in the Adobe Creative Cloud ecosystem. Wherever you are in the ecosystem—including Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD—you can easily search for assets, license them, and add them to your Creative Cloud libraries.

This streamlines the service and deepens the integration with your Creative Cloud applications. It also allows you to launch Adobe Stock from any Adobe app and easily access 40 million assets you can use in presentations, websites, social media posts, ads, and more.

Adobe Stock offers various file types and high-quality media assets. Here are the main file types you'll find on the platform.

    • 3D assets: 3D resources are available as models (OBJ), lights (EXR or HDR), and material files (MDL). Models let you customize the style, appearance, and scale of any 3D model. 3D light allows you to illuminate your scene with natural lighting. 3D materials enables you to change the visual appearance of your 3D models.
    • Videos: Formats include MOV and 4K. Adobe Stock delivers the original file to give you the best quality. Search video themes like lifestyle, business, and cinematic aerials. It's a great place to get excellent video assets you can use to bridge gaps without compromising quality.
    • Photos: These include standard, editorial, and premium photos and illustrations and are available in JPEG format. Simply enter a keyword about the image you are looking for, and voilà! Images are easily accessible, and almost anyone can download and edit them.
    • Design Templates: Available in PSDT format for Photoshop, AIT format for Illustrator, and INDT format for InDesign. Your applications may have them available in the New Document dialog box, or you can download them from Adobe Stock.
    • Vectors: These are available in AI, EPS, or JPEG format, depending on the download setting chosen when the license was purchased.
    • Motion Graphics: These template assets are available in MOGRT format for use in Adobe Premiere Pro.

For each asset, you can expect the highest resolution available. Plus, most assets on the platform can be printed in high quality, up to 300 dpi, without any loss of quality.  Also, you can quickly get a preview of all the assets and create a library to add them from the Adobe Stock site.
