Q: 3 questions

Hello!
Welcome to AppSumo!

1) What types of Google Ads campaign can adPeekr track:
- Search?
- Google Shopping?
- Performance Max? If yes, on which channels?
- Demand Gen? If yes, which channels?
- LocalServiceAds (LSA)?
- Display?
- YouTube?

2) When tracking 1 competitor but on 2 different channels, for example Google Search and Youtube, does it count as 2 "competitors" or as still one?

3) Can adPeekr monitor Google ads in a particular geo location, as if being there (without a geo qualifier in a query)?
How does one target a particular geo locality and certain days and times to monitor?

Thank you!

A: Hello, and welcome aboard! Happy to run through these.

1. On Google, AdPeekr tracks ads by type rather than by campaign label, so you're covered across Search, Shopping, YouTube, and Display. That means Performance Max and Demand Gen show up too, since they're really combinations of those ad types. Local Service Ads aren't tracked as such, though if one appears as a sponsored result in Google Maps, you'll see it.

2. Tracking is per channel, and a whole platform counts as one channel. Google as a whole (Search, YouTube, and so on) is one channel, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) is another. So one competitor on Google Search and YouTube is a single slot, since both are Google. The same competitor on Google and Meta would be two slots, one per platform.

3. Monitoring runs 24/7 worldwide, so there's nothing to schedule and no geo settings, you see all of a competitor's ads regardless of location. The day and time options only control when alerts reach you (instant, daily, or weekly).

Hope that clears it all up, enjoy getting set up!

Cheers,
Bas Sanderink
