ads manager directly again for campaigns, like could i pretty much do anything with this that the fb ads manager can, create any type of new campaigns or ads etc? Any limitations you still need to access fb itself for? Thanks

Adscook supports some functionality of Ads Manager, nor all campaign types are possible to create.
But if you create Leads, Sales, Awareness, or Engagement cmps, then you can use Adscook only, just the payment method, pixels and FB pages should be set up in Meta.
However, the answer to the question of whether Adscook can completely replace Meta Ads Manager, the answer is negative.
