Q: Data / files shared and usages

Hi, I am writing to ask about the usage of data and documents (files, urls etc...) provided during interactions with the AI chat system. Specifically:

1) I would like to understand whether the information shared is utilized to improve the AI model or if it is shared with any external parties.
2) When an uploaded document is deleted, is it permanently removed or is it stored for other purposes?

I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
Thank you very much.

A: I understand data security and privacy is really important when I started building Afforai. We have many users that are researchers, consultants and in important professions that use Afforai so it has to be even stricter. I've written up our security practices here:

https://help.afforai.com/en/articles/8478761-how-secure-is-my-data-with-afforai

But in short, your files are encrypted, my team and I would never have access to your files. Once you delete a file, the file will be deleted permanently from the cloud storage.

As for AI models we offer in Afforai, if you noticed, the reason we choose to use Microsoft Azure GPT4 Turbo model and not OpenAI GPT4 is because we want to uphold our data security standards as stated. Azure GPT models in Afforai are enterprise-grade AI that comes with enterprise-level security. Your prompts, messages, etc are yours only and not used to train the AI.

Thank you for your answer. I've read but it's not clear the paragraph "User-Generated Content": you say "..you grant to us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly display, translate, or otherwise create derivative works of your content in a manner that is consistent with your privacy preferences..."

oh UGC implies user reviews. So example is when you write us a review on AppSumo, or G2, we'd be allowed to feature it in our email, or a blog post. That's pretty much it.
