Q: Issues with openrouter are that OpenAI sometimes bans users as a result.
That is a risk I am not willing to take. Do you plan to resolve this?

Since you're using Afforai, there won't be a situation where you'd be banned. Think of this as we contract OpenRouter as middle man to provide us with different AI models. So it's not you that's directly calling OpenAI or Azure or Google or Claude.
If I misunderstood your question, let me know.
Thank you for your interest in Afforai.
Thanks but any plan to also offer direct access to OpenAI API?
Hi AlphBeta,
We choose not to have users plug in the OpenAl key directly mostly due to privacy concerns OpenAl Policy, while vague, is against user sharing their API key. And we agree with this.
Eventhough we will never do such a thing, having users give away OpenAl API keys can expose users to the risk of bad-acting developers abusing the keys.
My team and I think we shouldn't encourage that practice. With OpenRouter, the user has much more control of how their API key is used and overall offers more safeguards.
