Work In Progress

I'll preface by saying this may be just me / my experience and I'm missing something. If so and if I'm corrected I may update my score from the 3 tacos above so don't feel the need to tell me I've changed it if so.

I run a very small agency, just me, and I want to love this product. I've been using Stripe and GoCardless with InvoiceQuick and I want something to just tie the Customer Journey together and help me have a better view overall.

I though agency handy might be that and on first impression seems good:

Clean Layouts,
Easy Onboarding Questionaires for Orders,
Clear Customer Categorisation

However few big (smaller) things that are enough to question whether I should refund and get on with my life:

Can't Discount Initial/ Set Up Price - So do I have to create an entirely new product if I just want to waive the set up fee, seem so...
Can't add addons to Proposals - So I have to send multiple proposals for individual services a customer is getting (just a pain but not awful), and every single add on for a service. Plus I have to charge them the set up fee they would get if they purchased individually unless I do the above.
Service restriction by category - So much easier to allow specific groups of people to see services, instead it works on a "can't see services" basis, which is much more confusing to work with personally.

I want to love it, but it just doesn't seem ready, and it's not making my life easier.

Apologies for the troubles you've gone through. We are already working on the proposal feature. It'll be revamped completely hopefully within next month. I'll talk to the product team to what can we do about discounts in setup fee. Probably should be able to solve the issue.

About service restrictions, this was designed like this because A LOT of people asked for it like this. Honestly it was just users who wanted to restrict certain clients from certain services. Unsure that we can reverse it now.

Top notch support, great value

Had an technical issue with my account and reached out to support. I got an answer right away fro Hasib you was really helpful and instantly fixed the problem. Knowing that i have a person on the other side actually fixing things if something goes wrong is a big plus for me.

Besides that, the combined features that Agency Handy has can be bought individually here on App Sumo for a way higher price than the Tier1. So money is well spent here.

High pricing and no GDPR compliance

After lot of hesitation, I finally bought a Tier3, only way to get custom domain and smtp. I was confident that some efforts were effectively done around GDPR compliance. Until I find an old Ltd for AH on another Ltd platform, 1 years ago. The Tier3 was $100 less with same nb of workspaces and more storage. A good sales vibe here would have been to provide 2 or 3 workspaces with whitelabel for less.

But that's not what made me refund. One year ago, there were already some discussion and "commitment" to work on GDPR and get compliance "in some months". Today that's still not the case, and GDPR compliance is not only a matter of data storage, it's also processes. So I believe AH will not be ready for European business, and European customers of businesses working with AH, before some months, or worst, years. I can't get a $400+ lifetime deal I will never use, because I'm pretty sure in some months we will all be able to create our own agency software. Bad vibe for AH and me. That's it.

Hey, that deal was a year back so it was almost an MVP product. We priced it as it was then.

As for GDPR, it got delayed quite a bit because when we had an initial consult we realized there's a lot of work to be done on our end. Maintaining development and this work made it quite a bit lengthier than it should have been.

Having said that, we are in 10th week of our compliance setup with a law firm right now. We are going through every little details and it takes time because they are making us not compliant throughout the organization including how we handle our info.

I can understand that the frustration regarding this taking time but I can assure you that if you stick with us, you'll surely use it in the coming months.

As for your own software, that's applicable to almost anything in this tech world. If you have the knowledge and resources, it's obviously best if you build something custom.

Happy to show you any proof of our GDPR progress proof as well if you want. Hope you'll reconsider and give us another chance.
