Q: Hey Sean, AgneticFlow looks like the real deal! I have read your very helpful detailed answers here especially on

Intelligent Lead Enrichment. I want to use AgenticFlow for lead data enrichment and message personaoisation for cold email (small scale highly personalised instead of mass spray & pray). Both of these functions are done by tools like Clay. Is it possible to start with a list of contacts or companies and enrich them? Are enrichment sources web scrapping only or do you have/plan to have native API integrations like Clay? If not, is it easy to connect to APIs? Next, is it possible to personalise the first lines of emails to cold prospects? Which sources can this personaoisation be driven from, just the website or also their LinkedIn and/or other social media profiles (which ones)? I use SmartLead for cold email. Can a workflow be made to inject first lines into each email to be sent? Also, can DMs be personliased? Which platforms? Thanks. Jay

A: Hey Jay, fantastic questions! AgenticFlow is definitely built for the kind of high-touch, personalized outreach you're describing, moving beyond just basic automation. Let's dive in:

1. Lead Enrichment (vs. Clay):
- Yes, You Can Enrich: Absolutely. You can start with a list (e.g., import contacts into an AgenticFlow Table dataset or trigger via webhook) and build a workflow to enrich them.
Enrichment Sources: Our primary enrichment sources right now involve:
- Web Scraping: Using our built-in scraper or robust tools like Apify via MCP (https://agenticflow.ai/mcp/apify) to pull data from company websites.
- Native API Integrations (MCPs): This is where we align with tools like Clay. We do have native API integrations via MCPs for enrichment sources. Crucially, we have Apollo.io (https://agenticflow.ai/mcp/apollo_io) which is a powerful B2B data provider. We also have Hunter (https://agenticflow.ai/mcp/hunter) for email finding, and connections to CRMs. We are constantly adding more based on roadmap requests!
- LinkedIn: Use the LinkedIn MCP (https://agenticflow.ai/mcp/linkedin) to pull profile data available via their official API.
- Connecting APIs: Connecting to any other enrichment service with an API is straightforward using our API Call node within a workflow.

2. Personalized First Lines & Outreach:
- Yes, Highly Personalized: This is a core strength. Once you have the enriched data (from scraping or APIs), you feed that data into an LLM node (like GPT-4o, Claude 3, Gemini, or your BYOK model).
- Prompting for Personalization: You craft prompts telling the AI exactly how to personalize based on the enriched data. E.g., "Write a friendly opening line mentioning that {ProspectName} works at {CompanyName} and recently posted about {LinkedIn_Post_Topic} on LinkedIn." or "Draft a first line relevant to {CompanyWebsite_About_Section}."
- Data Sources: You can drive personalization from website content, LinkedIn profile data (obtained via MCP), potentially other social profiles if you scrape them (using Apify/custom scraping), or even recent company news found via our Google/Perplexity search nodes.

3. Integrating with SmartLead:
- API Connection: While we don't have a direct SmartLead MCP yet (please add it to the roadmap! https://agenticflow.featurebase.app/), you can absolutely integrate.
- Workflow: Your AgenticFlow workflow would enrich the lead, generate the personalized first line(s) using an LLM, and then use the API Call node to push that contact data + the generated first line directly into SmartLead's API to populate your campaigns there.

3. Personalized DMs:
- Generation: You can personalize the content for DMs just like emails, using enriched data + LLMs.
Sending Limitation: Actually sending DMs automatically is highly restricted by most platform APIs (especially LinkedIn) to prevent spam. Our LinkedIn MCP can interact with posts/comments but cannot automate sending DMs. For platforms where MCPs might allow it (potentially Twitter or others in the future), you could automate sending, but LinkedIn DM automation is generally not feasible via official APIs.

So, yes, AgenticFlow can replace the enrichment and personalization functions of tools like Clay by combining web scraping, native enrichment MCPs (like Apollo.io), and powerful LLM nodes within flexible workflows. You can then push that personalized data to your sending tool like SmartLead via API.

Hope this gives you a clear picture! Let me know if any other questions pop up.

Wow, thanks Sean, I am in! Now just need to decide on Tier. I need to clarify the run. So run is each action? so if personalised first lines are written with 3 custom values {ProspectName} works at {CompanyName} and recently posted about {LinkedIn_Post_Topic} on LinkedIn." is it one run or three? If contact data and personalised lines are pushed into email tool, is it one run or two runs? Thanks

Hey Jay!

Generating the personalized line (even with 3 variables) = 1 run (of the LLM step).
Pushing the contact + line to your email tool = 1 run (of the API/MCP step).
Each step in the workflow costs the fixed credits.
