Six months. 27 builds. A lot of patient early testers. Finally.

The idea is simple: stop typing on glass. Tap any text field and a small floating mic appears next to it. Speak — and your words land right where your cursor is, as you say them, not three seconds later. Messages, Gmail, Chrome, search bars. Every app, one mic.

What is TestFlight?

TestFlight is Apple’s official app for testing beta versions of iOS apps before they are released on the App Store. You install TestFlight from Apple, open our invite link, and then install the AI Dictation beta on your iPhone or iPad.

What is Play Store Early Access?

It is a required step in the Play Store release cycle. Once we get at least 12 testers on the app for at least 14 days, we will be able to release the app into the Play Store. So by joining the Early Access program, you are helping us immensely to get the app to the masses.

Longer dictations

Longer recordings now finish more reliably instead of failing because they are too large.

This makes AIDictation better for longer notes, meeting recaps, voice drafts, and extended thoughts.

Smarter cloud mode behavior

For Danish, Estonian, Greek, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Slovenian, and Swedish, AIDictation now recommends cloud mode for better accuracy.

These languages are still visible in settings, but Android now labels them as Cloud recommended so users know they will get better results online.

Languages that are not available offline are labeled Cloud only instead of disappearing from the picker.

New Android version

We also shipped AIDictation Android 0.0.16.

This update improves language selection, adds clearer offline/cloud labels, and automatically routes languages with weaker offline accuracy to cloud transcription for better results.

Better multilingual handling

Multilingual transcription now handles selected languages more carefully.

When several languages are selected, AIDictation can compare language-specific results and choose a cleaner final transcript.

This should improve mixed-language dictation and reduce cases where the app guesses the wrong language.
