Q: Post-processing in local mode and other questions?

#1 Is post- processing in local mode an option for things like structural formatting? Do we need to have another instance like Ollama installed for that?

#2 How do you compare yourself to Spokenly?

#3 Do you support multiple custom prompts ?

Thx!

A: 1. Is post-processing available in local mode for things like structural formatting? Do I need Ollama or another local LLM installed?

Not in this version. Local mode currently focuses on transcription, and cloud mode handles post-processing and context-aware formatting.

We’re evaluating new local technologies that could make offline post-processing possible in the future, without requiring users to manage extra tools like Ollama. Stay tuned.

2. How do you compare to Spokenly?

Spokenly is a great product. The difference is product strategy.

Spokenly is built more for tech-savvy users who want to choose their LLM model, tune prompts, and decide whether to use Whisper, Parakeet, or another engine.

Our approach is different: we believe users should not have to think about which model, prompt, or offline engine is best. That is our job. We choose the best technology, keep it updated, and make the experience simple.

Customers who compare us to Spokenly or Wispr Flow often tell us AIDictation feels more intuitive, simpler, and better designed.

3. Do you support multiple custom prompts?

Yes, in cloud mode. We support context rules and prompts based on the app you’re using.

For example, you can have different behavior for Slack, Chrome, email, docs, or any other app where you dictate.
