I used AIDictation mainly for messages, notes, and longer text where typing everything manually slows me down. The biggest benefit is the simple shortcut workflow: I can stay in the app I am already using, start recording, speak naturally, and get text back quickly.

The details that stood out to me were the onboarding, the clear recording overlay, and the option to use offline mode. Offline mode is especially useful for quick notes because it feels fast and does not make every small dictation depend on the cloud.

I tested it in Notes, Chrome, Slack, Gmail. For my workflow, it is a practical time saver.
