i really dislike that freepik makes it where u can't cancel subscription immediately without losing the access to your bundle. i dont have a problem with the preauth since it comes off immediately. My problem is that if you cancel your subscription to prevent from auto being charged next year, you lose access to all the credits on your bundle. So it forces you to stay on until u used all credits are up and you better not forget the date.
Other companies after you hit cancel let u use your credits until your period ends. For this reason thats why freepik is shady.
what is going on here... I would refund if I could.. 1 item same as an app on the last bundle :( and one wants to take money upfront.. worst deal yet

Hey Christian - sorry to hear. Want to clarify that no money is being taken up front besides the cost of the bundle. If you're referring to Freepik, a temporary authorization hold is placed by their payment provider.

Disappointing Redemption Experience With Freepik on AppSumo
I redeemed the Freepik code and had already used about 300 credits. The dashboard still showed a “Redeem Essential” button, which made it seem I needed to click to activate my plan. As soon as I did, my AppSumo deal was voided, my credits reset to zero like I was a new user, and I was charged for a full annual plan.
If you buy Freepik on AppSumo, be very careful during redemption, this process is confusing and feels misleading.

This deal opened up at 10am EST/9am CST and I just "knew" I would be one of the lucky ones to get in on this deal EARLY from the advance email notice I received last week. I purchased the deal and logged off.
To my surprise, in just TWO HOURS (it's now a few minutes past Noon here on the East Coast)...I can't BELIEVE the number of negative reviews to due the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY from AppSumo regarding the way the redemption process is for Freepik charging our credit cards for a full year and then refunding. Who though that was going to be an effective GTM (go to market) strategy for rolling this deal out to the masses? Like...NO ONE thought to at least include a heads up in the News and Updates tab?
You mean to tell me there wasn't ONE single person in your board room meeting with Freepik that spoke up to say..."hey you guys....this might NOT be a good idea?"
Ohhh...and did I mention....this deal is non-refundable!! Surprise! Gotcha!
Yeah....until Freepik changes that pre-auth to $1 like every other decent company out there, I will NOT register my credit card(s) for this.
AppSumo....you have to do better than this! Now literally every "question" in your question section is you guys having to clean up your mess on the backend. Let's hope you guys learn from this and DO NOT do this to your loyal sumolings in the future!
I stay an avid supporter of these AppSumo deals, and I get what they're trying to do with these bundles by letting us "test them out for a year at a nominal cost". But this should have been thought out more. You guys most definitely dropped the ball here!
What's the fix? Stand on business. Take accountability. Fix this issue ASAP with Freepik...and don't let this happen in the future for the betterment of your loyal community!

Hey May - appreciate the feedback and definitely understand your frustration. For Freepik this is only a pending test "charge" to verify your account which will disappear soon after purchase. Working with the partner now to see how we can get that removed or reduce the pre-auth to $1 like you said.

Can Appsumo search and bring us LTD Deals instead of trying to lure us into monthly programs? Once I start a monthly program, I may not be able to pay or buy on AppSumo again due to my budget, and I may cancel the Plus membership and use the money to pay for the monthly subscriptions instead. PLEASE APPSUMO MAKE A SMART MOVE TO TURN THESE DEALS INTO LIFETIME before it pushes us away from here They are charging our cards and its difficult to get in . Please bring better LTD BUNDLES
