Q: What are Aikido's policies on user based activity and on custom strategies?
These are my biggest questions.
Are users activities at all sold or shared with other businesses, brokers, or entities?
And
When custom strategies are enabled, will these be private?
Will you be tracking custom strategy performances of users?
Will you be harvesting the data on your users custom strategies to deliver in any way to outside parties (or business partners)?
Is Aikido the product - or are your users the product - is the question.
It's a nice idea to put quant tech in the hands of retail.
But retail keeps getting taken advantage of in the finance world.
I want to know that if I put in the time / effort to customize a strategy, that strategy is my intellectual property and won't be packaged up and sold.
Love the idea of this deal. But I'm skeptical.

These are GREAT questions to bring up!
Right now, we just have pre-built strategies to choose from on the site, but are currently building the custom strategy functionality which will allow you to build your own algos in no-code. We will be iterating on Custom strategy - initially starting with a basic version and gradually getting more complex. With V1 and V2 it is unlikely that a user could uncover anything that would beat an Aikido strategy. But as we get more complex (evening giving the ability perhaps to add code snippets down the line), this could happen! We have no affiliation with 3rd parties etc. who we would sell algos to.
What we are thinking though, is perhaps to open a marketplace so that our users can share their custom algos with other users ('follow my trades' style).
Aikido is the product. Not our users. We are a SaaS platform and do no profit from orderflow.
