Q: Hi there, All the best for your AppSumo campaign.
About a year ago I, and a lot of other Sumolings, purchased the Hopin LTD. However, they made a u-turn at some point and steered away from us early adopters which resulted in having an Hopin LTD account where promises where not kept, features where taken away or not honored... anyways the trust from most Sumolings went south.
Of course you´re not them, but still I would like to know what is you commitment to us early investors / Sumolings and how do you picture our mutual future?
Thanks

May 15, 2024A: Kasper, I think this is a VERY IMP question - 1 that many of us would be having & thanks for asking :)
Firstly - I'm a Sumoling myself. Bought quite a few deals & I know exactly how it feels to invest a product, make plans & then having them go back on their word.
Primary commitment - I personally wouldn't let this happen. I have been with Appsumo long enough to know that there some things you just don't do. Maybe that's not enough but this is the most impactful thing I can say.
Secondary commitment - We're committed to our community more than we are to the cash flow. That's the reason why we have a generous free plan. And that's the reason why we have exceptionally on-time customer support. Both things "cost money" and aren't offered by Hopin
Reasoning - You'll see how the deal ACTUALLY tries to balance Airmeet's future costs of supporting Appsumo customers. I'll be honest, unlike most SaaS tools, the cost of audio-video driven infra is way high. Which is why we didn't blindly commit to "unlimited participants" but tried to offer a great deal that our Finance team won't raise concerns about in future :P
As a marketer myself, I see us working close enough to design & develop Airmeet as the de-facto platform for marketers!
agreed! We'd love to partner with a platform like this that will keep our interests in mind as they progress.
