Q: I need some clarification, please.
š”What is the difference between a registrant and an attendee?
š”Is there a difference between the one dollar fee and the 8% fee?
š”What does it mean to have 5 team members? Would this be what you referred to as āagencyā or separate sub accounts for clients to use? I read that my name would be on it as an organizer. How would I go about not having my name on there as an organizer?
š”Also is there a way to monetize this where clients can ārentā a stage from me without being a long term client? Would it be able to pay me to use it and is there a way to do that without having my name on it as the organizer?
š”I have Eventee & Viewstub. Well I be able to cooperate these to use with Airmeet?
š”I also have Hopin, but I have not used it yet, so I do not understand what was promised or the issues involved.
š”How does it compare to Bigmarker?
THANK YOU!

May 15, 2024A: Hi Sumo-ling,
Here's my A2A to your queries:
1. What is the difference between a registrant and an attendee?
- A registrant is anyone who registers for your Airmeet event (either on the Airmeet registration page or via CSV guest list upload) Whereas an attendee is someone who participates and joins the event when it's live. Usually, people who registered or invited are the ones who attend an event. However, if you decide to allow guests to join a session without registration then such participants will become attendees directly.
In both these cases i.e guest attendees or registrations (landing page or guest list upload), your monthly free registration limit will get consumed. As the registration limit is counted based on the total number of registration happens or guest attendees joined in a month.
2. Is there a difference between the one dollar fee and the 8% fee?
- $1 fee/registrant is what you pay after you consumed your monthly registration limit and want to allow more registrations to happen for the same or future events that month. This method is only available in the case where you're not selling your tickets using Airmeet.
8% service fee is only charged if you use to sell your event tickets using Airmeet's ticketing experience. Plus, if you use the ticketing experience for a particular event, it will not consume your free registration credits for that event.
The $1/registration bundle and 8% service fee are two exclusive ways to scale your event participation up to 100K participants.
3. What does it mean to have 5 team members? Would this be what you referred to as āagencyā or separate sub-accounts for clients to use? I read that my name would be on it as an organizer. How would I go about not having my name on there as an organizer?
- Team members mean sub-users to your Airmeet account with administrative access. Your teammates can create and host their own events. If you're looking to host multiple events simultaneously then you can host as many Airmeet events in parallel as the number of teammates you have, as each event requires a host to start it.
Organizer is just a term given to a chief host (event creator) in case there are other hosts in an event. (basically to differentiate) If you're hosting your own events without delegating the responsibility of host in an event, your tag will still say host during a live session
Unfortunately, you can't stack multiple communities/accounts (sub-accounts) under one parent account on Airmeet right now. It's part of our roadmap and will be rolled out in the future.
4. Also is there a way to monetize this where clients can ārentā a stage from me without being a long-term client?
- Not sure how the renting will work at your end. But yes, you can add teammates to your account @ $25/teammate per month. You can even edit/remove teammates anytime. However, your community name would still remain the same as it cannot be changed right now.
More A2A:
1. I have Eventee & Viewstub. Well, will be able to cooperate these to use with Airmeet?
- Unfortunately, we don't have a native integration with both these platforms. However, integrations are part of our roadmap, and have made a note here to pass to our product team.
2. I also have Hopin, but I have not used it yet, so I do not understand what was promised or the issues involved.
- With the Airmeet Appsumo deal, we're offering you the full stack for life and the commitment to provide all future updates to the features you have in your plan.
3. How does it compare to Bigmarker?
Here are a few of the highlights which you can experience with Airmeet:
- Conference platform with the ability to host multiple sessions along with booths, sponsors, exhibition experience, and more.
- Ability to brand your event experience with custom stage backdrop, branding tables, and lounge area.
- Event-wide chat and in-event notifications to your attendees along with the ability to bring attendees on stage during a live session.
Hope that addresses your concerns. Happy to chat more.
Thank you!
