Q: I've spent a lot of time with Airmeet the past few months and a good amount of time in your 24/7 support ...
lounge this week (that's brilliant by the way) and I understand that many things are on the roadmap or yet unknown. (You all are brave!) I think you will find that many Sumolings will flood you with the same questions. I hope you are ready. :-)
1) As you don't have any listed plans, it will be important to clearly define what the "Standard" plan that we are mapped to is (and what other plans there are above or below.)
2) The ticketing % remaining static at 8% across all stacks will probably be questioned. I don't quite understand it myself, but open to understanding the thinking. Also should be clear that we also pay processing fees with whomever we use (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
3) Make sure to let people know that they cannot use the same email account for a trial account and then for their redeemed account. Emails cannot be changed.
4) It is probably a good idea for everyone also to know that the Meetup and Conference experiences are two different pieces of Airmeet and that Sumolings get both. That conference end is going to be killer!
5) Another item I learned, tables cannot be recorded. I think this is going to be an issue as many/most of you potential buyers are going to be used to the "Airmeet table" level being a "breakout session" level on most tools. These sessions are typically the ones that event operator want to have recorded the most. I request that you rethink that feature even if the recording is off by default and must be manually enabled. I don't want to have to create 10, 15, 30 stages in order to have my smaller group sessions recorded.
6) I foresee many questions about customization, specifically page design and colors. Personally, I like it the way it is but I've already seen ramblings about matching individual brand colors.
Cautiously optimistic about this deal. Still feeling the burn from Hopin but hopeful that there are still brands with integrity who value their early adopters. Hoping Airmeet is one of them.

What happened with Hopin?

Great questions. I ran into the email issue when I tried to redeem my codes yesterday. I hadn’t knowingly signed up for an account. All I did was register for the AppSumo walkthrough webinar, and now the system has locked me out of using my work email address.
I look forward to hearing answers about the other points, because many of us were left out in the cold by Hopin, and no action was taken by AppSumo in holding them to account after the deal ended.

Yes, as someone that has purchased many many AS deals and also stacked fully on Hopin I was very disappointed that AS didn't hold them accountable and they were instead allowed to get away with their lack of integrity.

totally agree on both branding and table recording!
