Promising, but still a long way to go

As a professional virtual event organizer, I tend to evaluate all event platforms I come across. Currently Hopin is no. 1 for our clients (the Appsumo deal was a hoax, but we've had to get over it in order to scale our business).

Currently Airmeet, to me, seems like a pretty and interesting thing. It is not a full-scale virtual event platform, and still has a long way to go to provide features for big/serious virtual events.

It's more suited for small gatherings or "talking heads" -type of streams for bigger crowds. If that's what you are looking for, I absolutely recommend trying Airmeet!

Pros:
Nice to look at
Easy event setup
Intuitive for hosts
Video uploads
Affordable
A lot of promises for the future
Nice support

Cons:
no RTMP/RTMPS support yet
no IVS or similar for stable global events
no mobile support
no session moderators / chairmen (can't work with clients without this)
small session rooms (up to 8 compared to Hopin's 20 on-screen participants per session)
no team management (members have access to everything)
no live expo booths
no expo booth management for booth owners (your team has to manage everything)
no Youtube sharing in sessions (you can use chrome tab sharing, tho)
no custom branding (you can add a custom event logo)
no navigation customizations
no attendee grouping/ticketing

The cons list is longer, I realize, but it doesn't mean Airmeet is bad. On the contrary, it's already a solid platform for gatherings, recorded streams and talking heads -type of presentations.

I stacked 3 codes for future use. I hope the team is able to take the time to understand what it takes to arrange virtual events instead of adding nice-to-have features. 99% of event platforms tend to make the mistake of not learning virtual event management and organizing.

Main things I look for are stable RTMP/S and native streams to anywhere in the world, attendee control, session management, expo management, branding and customizations. I have high hopes for Airmeet to match the virtual event standards soon.

Four tacos for providing a good platform for what it's currently capable of.
