The reason for this is the fact that we don't use services like ChatGPT or Claude AI in it, but rather the possibility of directly connecting to a large language model (e.g., GPT-4 or Claude 3.5 Sonnet) through API. Both in the case of OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Anthropic (Claude AI), access to the API works on slightly different principles both in terms of billing and data processing methods.

Alice requires either your key (e.g. OpenAI but also Anthropic, Groq, Perplexity) where you pay for API usage to them, OR you can enroll into our $15/mo AI Credits Plan where you have 500 conversations covered by us. Using your own key is usually way cheaper than onboarding into subscriptions in the services mentioned above, but it depends on your usage.
