No significant advantage over native apps + tabs
I used to have ChatGPT + Claude + Perplexity + Gemini open in several Chrome tabs + native ChatGPT macOS app, and I thought that having a single app to unify it all would be great. But I went back to having multiple tabs open, Alice doesn't really offer much. The real power of Claude and ChatGPT come with their custom "projects" and "GPTs", and web-browsing add-ons, and all of these features are only available through their native interface, not through an API wrapper like Alice. Plus now I have to pay for the Pro subscription + API usage, instead of just having all my usage included in the Pro subscription for ChatGPT and Claude.

Jul 31, 2024Hey fintable, thanks for the review. I understand Alice does not fit to your particular workflow. For us, using native app like Alice is far superior than juggling through logins and tabs and having to pay all the subscriptions, but hey, it's a personal preference I guess! Also, you do not need subscriptions - this is important advantage of Alice. You pay for usage and do not need to pay for Chat, Perplexity etc. Alice costs are much lower for us and we use all of those services. Also, Alice's main advantages are outside simple LLM chat experience, what this app excels in is automations but I don't think you've explored this options.
