I am a business startup and watching every $ so my SEO tools are all free (basic or limited use) versions.

Is it all singing, all dancing? No, but if like me you've started a business (content marketing) AlliAi provides a list of items to focus on and then get back to what I want to do - write content. I like semrush and Ahrefs, but they are overkill if doing your own SEO.
So I replaced a monthly $99 deal with initally 2 codes for a lifetime deal for same $.
Then added a third to give me room for the growth in business I expect to see from the first 2 codes!

If you are not an SEO expert, and want a tool that will help you to not miss anything that will hold back your rankings, this really is a no-brainer. The backlink building ideas are very helpful and more specific than the generic "find a broken link and offer to replace it" suggestions found elsewhere.
