Just to be clear, since they haven't sent any formal notification to their users: have they permanently shut down without warning?

AppSumo team, I think you need to address this, because lately it's becoming a tradition for the tools we buy to be active for a year and a half and then disappear... The worst part is that they don't even give us a heads-up so we can at least gather some information... This, honestly, makes me reconsider continuing to "trust" new tools... Mind you, I'm not saying AppSumo isn't reliable, on the contrary... at least in my case, they've always responded well. I'm just pointing out that apparently many developers come in with this idea in mind: "I'll make money and leave in a year and a half." There has to be some way to stop this bad intention.
