Q: Hello, thank you very much for coming to AppSumo.

Your product looks superb.

1) I'd like to use it on different websites. Is it already possible to set a quota per API key (e.g., 50 credits/month), to prevent one website to consuming all available credits?

2) Besides the focus keyword, most pages cover multiple talking points (H2, H3) that contain additional keywords. Often, those talking points have images. It would be incredible if it were possible to let the AI use the keywords from those talking points in the alt-text. Perfect (hands-free) scenario: it would read the surrounding text, recognize the keyword from the closest H2, and incorporate it in the alt-text. Alternatively, there would be a way to manually add the keyword and let the AI use it. I'm not certain, where that could be inside Gutenberg, but I've read about the amazing idea of adding a keyword field in the Media library. These are two separate ideas, but it could be a workaround until the hands-free version is available. Would that be possible?

A: Hi - will try to answer both of your questions here:
1) Right now there is no way to limit the # of credits per API key. It seems a little weird to do that since most of our integrations are designed to "just work" magically in the background, so suddenly stopping would be a negative customer experience in most cases.

2) Yeah it's definitely something we've thought about. It's also tricky since many sites/pages are put together differently, and getting the correct keywords extracted purely from the HTML without guidance is error-prone. Probably we could at least extract from a meta keywords tag on the page though.

The question is: who's your target audience? If it's only website owners, you're all set.
Maybe this information is wrong, but the AppSumo description says this product is “best for Marketing Agencies”. Currently, it's not — not yet.
If you'd like to aim for agencies and freelancers, the credit limit per API key will be necessary.

If a few clients burn all the shared credits, you'll have to purchase credit packs over and over again, ruining your profits. That's why agencies and freelancers have contracts with their clients in place, regulating the monthly allowance, costs and what happens if a client requires more credits. It's necessary to stay in business and be profitable.

Those are the requirements I see for client projects:
— We can set a credit limit per API key, so each client website uses a unique API key.
— Provide a text field per API key, so we can label them (client A, project XYZ, etc.), which will improve the usability.
— We can see used credits per API key.
— We can set up rules per API key to automatically purchase credit packs.
— We get an email notification when an API key reaches 90% of its credit limit.
— A while-label solution for this plugin.

Does that sound interesting for your business model and future product development?

Hi - yeah some of these we already have or are already planned (labeling the api keys, and white labeling). Your other points are logical and something we're going to put on our backlog to discuss.

Another possible option in the meantime is to have separate accounts per client if you need to regulate the credit usage strictly. This would allow you to be on plan A for client A, and plan B for client B.

Thank you for considering the proposed ideas.

Would these agency features be part of the AppSumo deal — for all tiers?

Hi - yeah we make all features available to all plans :)
