Q: I actually tried this out a while back and really liked it.

I am interested in both the booking features and the event features for clients. The events seem very easy to create but are half-baked. I want to 5 stack but need to know:
Are custom fields coming to the event bookings?

Multiple booking types (I.e current customer/patient vs guest?

Min/Max number of tickets per event booking?

When I booked a free event on the demo, it still tried to get my billing info to submit. This should be removed for free events.

Do the email and sms notifications work for events?

Ability to enter names of guests in addition to the name of person booking event.

I need to spend more time in the demo but those are my questions for now. I remember really liking the plug-in when I tried it before. I am hoping the events feature can get some love!

Hi there,

> Are custom fields coming to the event bookings?

Yes, we will add that soon.

> Multiple booking types (I.e current customer/patient vs guest?

It is partially implemented, but would need more details on what exactly do you need to say if it’s fully there or not.

> Min/Max number of tickets per event booking?

Yes, it is implemented.

> When I booked a free event on the demo, it still tried to get my billing info to submit. This should be removed for free events.

If the price is 0, it will not show up.

> Do the email and sms notifications work for events?

Yes, they do.

> Ability to enter names of guests in addition to the name of person booking event.

Not there yet but we will add it soon.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.

To clarify for my second question, I was referring more to the event booking, not the appointment booking. Sorry to not be more clear. For events I would like to be able to allow the event creator to give different types of tickets as options. They could add ticket types and label them what they want "Current Customer" "Non-Customer" "Adult" "Child" etc.

I would also like to have a minimum and maximum for each ticket type. So that way for example, I could require max 2 child per adult, or minimum 2 non-customer per customer.

I hope that makes sense.

I have been trying out A LOT of event and booking plugins over the past month. I really like Amelia. Reasons:

UI is easiest to use of anything I have seen. (this is huge as I want to be able to have my clients create and manage the events instead of me having to do that).

Looks great out of the box.

Includes payment on paypal and stripe WITHOUT requiring WooCommerce (as far as I can tell from the demo). I am going to be using multisite and DO NOT want to have database load of woocommerce for each install.

I was not sure about the appointment booking approach, where the user selects the appointment type, employee etc first then gets a calendar. i am used to a booking plugin called "Booked" which simply shows the calendar and then lets them choose a date and appointment time. Could this be an option? I don't mind the default way but would love the option.

In addition to this, I would like to have appointments NOT require an employee. The employee is required now. I guess a work around would be to just use the general name of the business as the employee for appointments and events where the employee does not need to be specified.

I LOVE the ability to ask for/specify an add-on for appointments where more than one person is available and I also really like the "extras" that can be added to the appointments.

For the redirect URL, (and I think I asked this question back when I first looked at Amelia months ago), is there the option to have that for events? Also, could there be some way to redirect depending on what was actually booked, like adding the redirect URL in the service or event creation itself? Having on redirect url for everything might not work as after they register for an event, I want to take them to a contest page where they can social share that particular event to earn extra raffle tickets. It is event specific. Also, I think for ad tracking purposes it would be important to diversify this URL so that I ad analytics can know what events and services are meeting goals.

I am going to get this. I will probably buy one code now as I have a few clients I need this for right away then stack 4 more codes later this week as long as there are no major hiccups!

Thanks for this great offer!

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed explanation, appreciated!

Yes, makes sense, absolutely, this is not implemented yet, but we had something similar in mind, I will note down this on our idea list.

Currently, if you have just one service and one employee the calendar will be shown first, we have 3 different booking forms, that you can check on demos. We are currently working on a new one.

The employee is required to be set up so the plugin can work properly, but if you have just one employee, the employee won't be shown on the front-end booking form.

There’s an option for Redirect URLs for events, currently, you can add URL after someone click Finish, but if you want to add URL before confirming a booking, that is possible with a hook, you can write to our support and they will help you set that up. We are working on more features for the events.

Thanks for your feedback, means a lot!

Hi Nevana,

I couldn't reply to your second answer, but you said I could contact support to have a hook created instead of requiring them to click "finish" on their booking. The issue there is that won't allow them to use the great add to calendar feature which I feel is important. The risk being run is that if they don't click finish, I have no way to track a conversion for facebook ads. Could I have support help me with a hook to just trigger the tracking pixel but still let the user add to calendar? I will contact support about that.

Is this something you can address, that I can somehow have the facebook pixel (or any other tracking) fire the moment that a booking is actually submitted? That would be great!

The custom URL post calendar booking is nice, but its universal so I guess you guys will split that up to be per event or booking type I hope (as each thank you/details page would be different and I will run sweepstakes in conjunction with sign-ups).

Oh, I did buy a code and am waiting for my AppSumo briefcase credits to be bought this weekend to use them on 4 more codes. Love the plugin now. Can't wait til it improves.

I am already using it on a live event booking landing page and going to send paid facebook traffic to it.

Hi there,

Adding a FB pixel is pretty straightforward so I believe our support should be able to help you with this.

And thanks for the idea, we will add it to our features list as it’s not complex to implement!

Thanks for the feedback!
