It's okay, but definitely not without its major drawbacks
I use AAWP on my main site, but recently launched a few new sites and couldn't afford to upgrade that license (I'm a single mom on a very tight budget). I saw all of the glowing reviews for AMZImage here and elsewhere, so I took a chance on it. Honestly, I'm on the fence about whether or not I'll keep it. Yes, it does make adding Amazon-compliant images easier than just using SiteStripe, but there are a lot of limitations that I wasn't expecting.
First, as others have mentioned, it doesn't work well with the Gutenberg blocks editor. I found a few workarounds for moving the image where I want it within the block editor, so I could probably live with that limitation.
Another irksome issue, it's impossible to align the image properly within a post built using blocks. No matter what I try, it always aligns right in the center. I prefer no alignment so that the image just flushes to the left directly under the content. Even that I could probably live with though.
My biggest worry is that it looks like the last update to the plugin was about a year ago. That doesn't really fill me with confidence that it will continue working beyond the next few WordPress updates.
Also, it took days for me to get the license once I purchased it. I had to contact support to ask for it since the email they sent didn't have it. In all fairness, I bought it on New Year's Eve so I didn't expect an immediate response. Still, if the account dashboard worked as it should, I wouldn't have needed to wait on a response. Two weeks later, my license key still isn't listed in my account.
I gave it three tacos because it does, for the most part, do what it promises: it lets you search and add Amazon images without leaving your site. Once you finally get your license, it's also really easy to set up and add your affiliate credentials.
I plan to give it another two weeks to see if the limitations are something that I can live with. At this point, though, I'm leaning more towards requesting a refund and trying something else instead.
