VastteeQ: I purchased the 2nd Tier of your system.
I’m trying to be positive, but there are important questions and issues. Overall this is a good start, yet there are a lot of improvements that are needed. Lack of font selection, very limited music selection, no ability to upload music/sounds, the limited amount of templates, no way to trim videos (15 second intros are too long to keep the attention of viewers), etc. It worries me to see an answer to the question on future improvements ... "While the set of features and access to them may change in the future, we do not plan to remove access to any existing features from AppSumo subscribers." Are you planning to include AppSumo purchasers in the future upgrades? In what cases should we expect not to be included? Like many AppSumo customers, I like supporting new ventures, but really dislike when a lifetime purchase is excluded from future upgrades. Could you be more specific on what we should expect with a lifetime membership?

May 15, 2024A: UPDATE: We are in the process of implementing font selection. We already have this feature enabled on some templates and are working hard to complete the rest. Look for F icon on templates.

You can actually upload your own sound on the "Sound" tab while creating your video. There's a large file Dropzone where you can either drag and drop or click to select your music file.
We are planning to include our AppSumo subscribers in future upgrades. However, there might be some features that will be available to users who pay on a monthly or annual bases only, to cover the costs of those features. For example, we are planning to add an image background removal feature that may use a paid third-party service. Monthly and annual subscribers will have a limited number of free background removals per month (based on the tier of their subscription) which we will have to pay for to that third party service. Obviously, if we make this feature available to AppSumo subscribers with no additional fee, we will start loosing money very soon. Please keep in mind that this is just an example to explain the point.

Thank you for the clarification. I missed the sound drag window which is clearly at the top. It was late when I was checking and the top of the list (5 or 6 of the songs are Christmas/Holiday out of 25) so I zoomed down past those and missed the obvious window. My apologies. I can understand functions that you add that may increase your operational cost and can't be included. I would hope functions like a background removal tool (which I had to use on a logo before I uploaded the image) would be purchased as opposed to using a service. Free AI would be a different story, although giving lifetime users the ability to use their own key would be the appropriate way to go in my opinion. I just don’t want a Viddyoze experience which limits you to the new templates unless you pay a monthly fee. To also be specific, the horizontal and square templates have a limited amount, the vertical selection is outstanding for an initial offer.

The background removal was just an example to explain when and why some of the new features may not be available to AppSumo subscribers for free. That said, I think the number of that kind of features will be minimal if any.
